I too am grateful for this forum. I had the exact same problem. Made an appointment to get it fixed and it was going to take weeks to get in. This solution was a life saver as I use FSD religiously.
Good Advice; however, it still reveals your phone is in the vehicle and they can steal your phone and other items you left in there, including access to whatever might be in the bed.
I'm going to make it a habit of looking for that screen when I exit the truck.
Iām curious about how long this will be on the screen? If you walk away and donāt look at the screen before leaving and didnāt recognize the chime sound; if this screen is left on itās a clear invitation for someone to steal your vehicle.
I was able to transfer from my 2019 Model 3, to my 2023 Model Y, and then to my 2024 Cybertruck.
If I hadn't bought FSD, I would have gone the subscription route (~$1,200 a year). Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.
Here's what Grok had to say about it:
Tesla has a limited-time policy...
Tesla is Just telling you that the 14.2 version has to be downloaded in order for you to be able to use the FSD trial. The download is free. My understanding is FSD software is installed with every update for vehicles that can use it, but it has to be unlocked with a purchase or subscription...
I had a sim
I had a similar experience the second day I used it (v14.1.7). While clearing a traffic light by about 100 yards, it pulled over to the side of the road, waited for all the cars behind me to clear, and then resumed the trip. I thought maybe an emergency vehicleās siren might have...
Iāve been having them same experience. The first day I had it the rain was coming down in buckets and it drove me to my destination flawlessly. They next day it was stuttering at most stop lights and stop signs. Itās a big disappointment after waiting so long for FSD 14. Hoping they fix it fast.
I'm excited to install one of these. The thing I like the most about it is the ability to get rid of glare by tilting the screen. Everything else is gravy!
They contacted me this morning and said they had a loaner for me. I dropped my CT off this morning and my loaner was a CT FS. Now waiting for a battery to show up.
Anybody receiving this error message or am I just lucky?

A few weeks ago, I won a prize from the Foronetry company. It was a sunscreen for the massive windshield of my Cybertrick. I finally had an opportunity to try it out after the first warm day in Sacramento. The company reached out to me to see if I would mind reviewing the product. Here are my...
During a recent trip using FSD, my CT ran up on a high curb and broke off the left rear wheel trim piece. At this point, just to be safe, Iām disengaging FSD on every left turn and reporting āIām avoiding left turns on FSD until itās fixedā.
I've tried a couple of cargo nets and have not been happy with them. Tlyard recently had an awesome sale on their bed divider. Great price, it works with my bed liner and I am extremely happy with it! I have it setup a couple feet away from the tailgate and it is so useful when I'm picking up...
Here is a better TL;DR:
This individual, a self-described "car guy" with extensive experience in performance and luxury vehicles, shares his firsthand encounter with a Tesla Cybertruck. Despite his initial skepticism and dislike of Tesla's marketing and Elon Musk, he was impressed by the build...
