  1. Prices on 2024 Inventory Were Just Dropped

If the demo has a much later VIN... sure. My SA told me my 51XXXX build was vastly better than the FS. I would not want an early VIN - FS or non-FS - even if it was cheaper than a demo.
  2. Prices on 2024 Inventory Were Just Dropped

The MF I last saw was actually reasonable. Normal financing is 7-8% with prime and that's the lease interest rate.
  3. Sold My CT

Why? Sell it before Tesla cuts prices further if you don't need it. $69K the OP is an amazing price. I received $75K in Feb after I sold mine due to health issues (still not resolved so not buying/leasing another vehicle) and it's only dropped since. I can see Tesla discounting the 24 base AWD...
  4. New Discounts on 2024 Cybertrucks

I've been told by a Tesla insider to skip Repaired anything. You never know the exact damage extent and the discount isn't large enough. Anyhow, I would 100% buy a demo. I bought a demo Y in 2021 and a friend got a Model S demo that was great. They are taken care of by Tesla since they are the...
  5. Cybertruck Q1 2025 Deliveries (Lowest to Date) [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

There's no real godfather of AI (it's an old field that has existed since the 60s with many failures... in the 80s it was overhyped - before my time) but the grandaddy of ML is Hinton. I worked in his AI lab as undergrad and though computer vision and NN were a joke (how wrong I was lol). I...
  6. Cybertruck Q1 2025 Deliveries (Lowest to Date) [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

That's NOT a model of the world. That's just scanned in data and Tesla representing the positions of known objects in a 3D engine. The model is a representation of the world logically (not physically) and being able to predict future behavior. You see a giant semi driving beside you - you...
  7. Cybertruck Q1 2025 Deliveries (Lowest to Date) [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

It's just pathfinding. It's not AGI at all. The AI doesn't understand squat. It lacks the concept of the world. I argue FSD and most autonomous systems can't handle exceptions very well. They lack a model of the world and how it works. That's why I don't believe FSD as designed - will work in...
  8. Cybertruck Q1 2025 Deliveries (Lowest to Date) [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I believe it. LLMs are just one tool. AI is so vast and somehow we've just decided to brute force neural networks to "solve everything"
  9. Cybertruck Q1 2025 Deliveries (Lowest to Date) [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

If pathfinding is AI... then that's a pretty low bar. That Tesla was just meandering about looking for a connecting road. There wasn't much "planning" which is the core idea of AGI. LLMs are still pretty basic these days.
  10. Cybertruck Q1 2025 Deliveries (Lowest to Date) [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Rivian’s awful quarter is no surprise. I’ve been wanting a Gen2 R1S but chose the CT because I refuse to pay $98K+ for a new R1S with 400V architecture and a smaller battery than the Gen1 Quad I had. Rivian stopped discounting late last fall and Q1 incentives were a joke. They are attempting to...
  11. Major mistake by (CPA!) with Commercial Clean Vehicle Tax Credit

Resolved? IRS allowing sale reports outside of the 3 day window. https://www.npr.org/2025/03/26/nx-s1-5341550/irs-ev-ta-credit-2024-solution
  12. New Discounts on 2024 Cybertrucks

It might be dependent on state. Some states require demos to be registered/titles and they are unleasable after but in FL I’ve seen many demo Teslas available for leasing. It depends on the financing arm too. There are 23s on the from Stellantis that are unleasable since no financing arm will...
  13. I was bummed out to see a sea of cybertrucks in the Tesla lot south of Houston

That's Stellantis pricing for you. That truck is now worth $70K the second he drove off the lot.
  14. I was bummed out to see a sea of cybertrucks in the Tesla lot south of Houston

You can lease for the $7500 cap reduction (like I did and many others). The biggest issue is that the 25s are out and the discounts on the 24s are only $4K.
  15. New Discounts on 2024 Cybertrucks

That sounds right. The old MF was 0.00545 back in late Nov then Tesla dropped the rate a week later then dropped again last month. To me, it makes the early buyout less tempting.
  16. New Discounts on 2024 Cybertrucks

Tesla won’t allow $0 down. You have to pay all the taxes and fees and first month so the lowest is basically $3000-$4000 depending on the state. As for the $500 referral, kiss that goodbye. I used a referral code from a friend and since I was a former Tesla owner (last owned a Y in 2022) they...
  17. New Discounts on 2024 Cybertrucks

Again check with your accountant. All I know is he received the $7500 commercial EV tax credit and whether that was through a lease like he said or he meant purchase with his company for the same commercial EV tax credit (45W) I don’t know the exact details.
  18. New Discounts on 2024 Cybertrucks

There's a guy in FL who leased and immediately bought out the lease and then claimed 179 - essentially making the CT around $54K. Check with your accountant.
  19. Tesla Allowing CT Trade-in Towards a CT w/ Free SuperCharging

Nice C8. My friend got one last summer and let me test drive it and I got hooked... but I didn't want to buy overinflated used prices and new prices were cratering (I saw $11K discounts on 23s in the fall from MacMulkin). To reduce supply, Chevy paused production an extra week over the...
