Service charging for Tonneau water ingress service bulletin?

[UPDATE] my Tesla service appointment was today and they did indeed add the additional slat and confirm no additional charge even though I accepted the $225 service fee. They did waive it and gave me zero issues. Thank you everyone for suggesting that’s what will likely happen. Looking very...

Service charging for Tonneau water ingress service bulletin?

I made a service appointment to see if they can add that extra slat in my tonneau since I have a 2024 model and water pours in every time I go through the car wash. I even included a video showing the water pouring in and simply requested if I could take advantage of that service bulletin and...

Tailgate Bike Cover Bowing - Solutions?

I want to have the same experience. The first one I got had the stitching coming apart, Tesla replaced it. The second one unfortunately does this. I’m not sure, maybe I just have a bad unit.

Tailgate Bike Cover Bowing - Solutions?

No, been that way from the get pretty much. It’s parking the garage so not sun exposure, and only one carbon bike on it on and off on the left side, never the middle. I also take it off and store in the garage when not in use. It just did that for no apparent reason. I also get a “tailgate not...

Tailgate Bike Cover Bowing - Solutions?

This middle bowing is pretty annoying. Anyone else experience this? I’ve seen these on other cybertrucks and they’re flat, as well as all the marketing images. Any ideas?

    Garage parking your Cybertruck?

I have a pretty standard two car garage and it fits with enough room at the front to walk around and access the charger plus some fridges and whatnot. It’s definitely a bit tight but definitely workable. At first it seemed it’s jut never going to work but we got used to it pretty quickly and now...

[Update] FSD v14.2.2.4 Almost Hit a Girl Crossing Street (No it didn’t - Don’t rest your foot on accelerator)

I’ve got 4 daughters, so you can imagine how I felt when it actually happened. Well said. We’re still not at a place where we can stop paying attention, but it feels like we are, resulting in a very sensitive and potentially dangerous time for FSD. Enjoy it but stay vigilant even if the...

    Ceramic Coatings

any updates on the coding question mark I had bought it around the original time of this thread getting made, but I never found the time to apply it. It’s still sitting in my garage. How do you feel about the coding today, does it still feel like it’s holding up?

Touch Up Paint for OEM wheels

Did you ever find any success with this? Took my wheel covers off after a year of owning the truck and detailed the wheels only to find these exact same marks.

[Update] FSD v14.2.2.4 Almost Hit a Girl Crossing Street (No it didn’t - Don’t rest your foot on accelerator)

Very, very interesting. Yeah, I’m so surprised at myself for having done it, but it raises the question what would cause me to do it in the first place. Intriguing point.

[Update] FSD v14.2.2.4 Almost Hit a Girl Crossing Street (No it didn’t - Don’t rest your foot on accelerator)

I will be doing this. You’re absolutely correct and I’m happy this was brought to my attention. 1. I admit it was me, and I’ve learned to be more cautious, so much of driving happens unconsciously. And 2. FSD is on the right track after all, this is great news. This was a big mistake on my part.

[Update] FSD v14.2.2.4 Almost Hit a Girl Crossing Street (No it didn’t - Don’t rest your foot on accelerator)

I have zero reason to take this the wrong way, it looks like you’re absolutely right. I could not recall doing that but wow, data shows differently here, it definitely looks like I’m nudging the accelerator, I hadn’t noticed that. Very good catch, seems pretty certain it was me after all!? 🤦🏻‍♂️...

[Update] FSD v14.2.2.4 Almost Hit a Girl Crossing Street (No it didn’t - Don’t rest your foot on accelerator)

Same experience, I did not get to report it. I shared this video via X with Ashok Alluswamy though. Who knows if he’ll ever see it but I did my due diligence I guess

[Update] FSD v14.2.2.4 Almost Hit a Girl Crossing Street (No it didn’t - Don’t rest your foot on accelerator)

From where I was sitting, it was making a pretty aggressive right turn, in a worst case scenario it felt like the rear right wheel could have caught her if she stumbled or something. It was genuinely pretty alarming.

Maybe you’re right, but I wouldn’t say it’s a big nothingburger. Hesitation and indecision like this can’t be overlooked. It’s an incredibly significant time for FSD considering Teslas recent moves.

Hope is definitely not lost, just re-evaluated. FSD is still an incredible tech from the future, there’s no doubt about it.

100%, everyone is in their phone, including myself, so I get it. Especially the younger generation like this girl, I don’t blame them. Nonetheless it’s more important than ever to be aware of your surroundings.
