If a heat gun can fix it, the sun can undo the fix.

    Where do you apply this?
  5. Weird Whine Sound, Up and Down (HVAC OFF)

Update: I found the likely cause. My infotainment jumps anywhere between 88c and 97c extremely quickly. I AI'd a possible cause and it said lodged air bubbles. So I ran coolant purge and thermal performance test. Both done and passed, but did not help. The pumps spin up when the infotainment...
  6. Weird Whine Sound, Up and Down (HVAC OFF)

It’s not that. Tested with the entire HVAC system off, including the seats.
  7. Weird Whine Sound, Up and Down (HVAC OFF)

I've got a whining sound that started about 3 months ago. Cyberbeast purchased Dec 2024, currently at 20k miles. I only hear it at a stop or at super slow speeds (under 5 mph). Not sure if it's drowned out by wind noise at higher speeds or if it just isn't there. I initially thought it was...
  8. Mirror Tap no power

Interesting solution. my problem was that my tap was bad, after I got a new tap things started working again. I need the rear 120v for my Starlink otherwise I would’ve used the usb c in my center console.
  9. Mirror Tap no power

I saw two posts on it. They all said once they unhooked the device the IR interference went back to normal. I bought a usb c connector to route into the center console instead.
  10. Mirror Tap no power

Makes sense. Yeah I have the camera feed and the IR illumination/camera is functioning. Tested with sentry mode at night last night. I suspect that my tap line broke.
  11. Mirror Tap no power

If it wiggled out, my cabin camera would be off since that white connector powers the cabin camera right? I checked, it didn’t wiggle out. But I also don’t have a multimeter, I’d have to go pick one up.
  12. I think I shorted 12v wires under mirror housing trying to hardwire radar detector

I’m having issues, not sure if similar. Tapped into this same connector. Worked for 3 days, then my detector just refuses to power on, parked or during drive. I don’t have a multimeter so I can’t tell if there’s power in the connector. Should I remove the connector altogether or just leave...
  13. Mirror Tap no power

What does the radio module look like?
  14. 12 Volts DC - Available in cabin?

Tapped into the white connector for three days. Then all of a sudden it stopped providing power to my radar detector. No errors that I can see, even in the service menu.
  15. Installing a 12 volt radar detector -- use 12 - 15 volt circuit behind the rear view mirror compartment.

I tapped into this location and it worked for three days. Then all of a sudden it stopped providing power to my radar detector.
  16. Mirror Tap no power

Hey there, I’ve tapped Into the rear view mirror Housing’s white connector for my Escort Redline 360c and it worked fine for three days. Then all of a sudden it stopped providing power. I don’t have a multimeter to test but I did test with another car with the cigarette port adapter and it did...
  17. Anyone fixed the interior creak?

Had the squeak, was pretty damn bad. anytime turning left or right or even changing lanes a shit ton of creaks. Bought a WD40 specialist silicone spray, went to work and sprayed it in every place where two pieces of plastic/rubber met in the center console. Noise gone!!
