Do you live in a colder climate? I believe it's the adhesive failing in cold climate. They are held on by an adhesive and no bolts. I think they just reattach it with a different type of adhesive. Not sure tho.

I have a friend in town who had his trim piece fly off the on the highway at 70 mph. Mine is now flapping around the same speed and seems extremely loose. I can't get into the service center for a month and afraid to drive it on highways.
