I did this fix last year, and so far it's holding up great. I keep my truck parked outside, in the southeast, facing direct sun. It's been near 100 this week with no issues.
It's not quite automatic. The roof and frunk power feeds need to be manually turned on and off unfortunately. As for brightness, it's not all thst noticeable in bright daylight, but in morning/evening light, or cloudy days, it's plenty noticeable.
To add on the last two posts, you can configure the DRL or off-road lights as the default mode, as well as the default color or animation settings for the DRL.
I've had mine almost a year. Late summer it stopped turning on, and the entire unit was replaced for free after replacing just the control box failed. Since then, zero issues. I have not noticed any wind noise or range reduction. I'm still happy with it and love the look with the DRL on at...
I think there may be a size issue on the 1" strap printing plates. The velcro hole size is the same on all print plates. They are all sized for 5/8 velcro.
I just did this fix for the overhead console with a heat gun and channel locks. Took about 3 minutes. I was dreading a SC appointment since I have a camera rear view mirror installed, and figured I would need to remove it to avoid any warranty disputes and it's such a pain to do I was putting...
The Disney plus app is installed in every Tesla still, but it's hidden unless your signed in already. Like others have said, if you sign in using the browser, the Disney plus app is unhidden.
I have the Xkglow lightbar and I love it. The biggest advantage of it over alternatives IMHO is the DRL mode let's me actually get use out of it. I always have it on, and I keep it in white or amber color mode. It looks awesome at night.
No noticeable range or wind noise issues.
I have one. It works. The key part is the camera need to not be able to see your face. I have a parking permit hangtag that hangs off my sunshade and blocks the camera. It then fails back to steering wheel nag, which the chip spoofs. If the camera is 100% blocked, Fsd will disengage, so it needs...
I've been looking into this as well but have gotten hung up on the interlock. A manual interlock, I believe, would require a seperate circuit and breaker from the charging circuit. Not an easy or cheap thing to overcome if a setup is like mine, where the main breaker box is unreachable with my...
If a OTA update resolved the issues, a full power cycle may clear them as well.

Depending on print orientation, printed parts can be pretty robust. If I make one I'll probably use polycarbonate. If printed with layers aligned vertically (printed on its side) I would expect static loads in the hundreds of pounds. Polymaker publishes alot of data around their filiment load...
I haven't figured out out yet. I installed a xkglow light bar and leave it powered on for the DRL mode. I've left it on for 12 hours parked in my driveway and it stays on. I've tried charging and unplugged.
I wish I could find a STL for these because I could print them much nicer than that. Carbon fiber nylon would hide any layer lines, or Asa could be vapor smoothed with acetone to melt the outer layer.
