Fantastic, thank you! I'm not a big fan of the OEM Goodyears--they just don't have a lot of tread compared to a proper A/T tire, and they're not snow rated. For comparison, Iāve run BFG A/T KO2ās on my Toyota for nearly 20 years and theyāre great on rocky trails and snow. When my OEM tires are...
Unfortunately I don't have the dashcam clip of this (I forgot to save it) but, the first time I was trying out 14.1.7, I was on a two-lane road with a cyclist in the bike lane to my right. He checked over his shoulder as if to come into my lane, but the upcoming left turn was far enough ahead...
Those need to be wrapped to look like Star Trek shuttle craft and given names that appeared in the shows. Actually maybe thatās what I need to do to my own Cybertruck. š
My issue was him speeding up to prevent me from merging. Thereās no shoulder past the merge lane, so I had to floor it myself and out-accelerate him. The side views show this best.
In any case you may be absolutely right that this isnāt anything to pursue. Thanks for the reply.
Oh wow, I need that! Question for @kush777 : how much does it reduce the truck's height, and does that show up on the truck's display? The bottom of my Toyota is all scraped to heck from off-roading and I've definitely put its rock sliders and bash guards to the use they were designed for. I...
FINALLY. Based on the number of badly aligned cant rails I've seen, the manufacturing of this part has been bad since the beginning. My passenger side one looks terrible and my local Tesla service center said they wouldn't fix it. I'm hoping they built a better manufacturing fixture along the way.
I really like the shot where you're driving through the snow! It looks like that was taken with an Insta 360; is that right? Casey LaDelle on YouTube also does very cool shots while holding the Insta 360 on a stick out his window. I definitely need to get one of those.
In case you're interested, I started with designing mounts for MOLLE panels, and I'm pondering some L-track attachments now. I've finished mounts for a Hi-Lift jack and for MaxTrax boards, both intended for a horizontal MOLLE shelf that goes over the spare tire. My next task was making a L-track...
Funny, I was just looking for something like this. Iām also making a bunch of custom mounts for my truck, however I was planning to start from commonly-available L-track lugs (about $4/ea on Amazon) and going from there. My concern with 3D printing this part is that it puts tension on the Z axis.
I very much hope you're right. I compared against photos on the ARB web site and the products look substantially different, both in materials and construction. I need to eat crow on one thing, however: you're correct that when ARB says "T" they mean metric ton, not 2000 pounds as I expected. I...
I can only speak to my own experience here in Colorado, but I've driven two hours straight in heavy snow, at night, never cleaned the headlights, and I didn't have a problem. There was snow accumulation on the shelf below the light, but not a bunch and not enough to affect headlight performance...
