About 10 years ago a co-worker of mine was killed in a crash just like this. He was in the position of the Cybertruck only he wasn't in a CyberTruck obviously. Glad to see the CyberTruck handled that crash well.
I had a similar issue on Friday. Eventually discovered it was a GPS issue. I had been in downtown Miami for 4 days parked and my truck didn't have any GPS signal. Once I got out into the open the GPS connected and FSD worked again.
It's not more common with EV's vs ICE vehicles. It more common in newer vehicles due to the shift to using soy-based wiring insulation, vegan leather, etc.

I'll be taking mine in for service for this very problem once I get my other car working reliably. Mine usually only stops when the pressure relief valve activates. So I'll hear the compressor running for a long time and loud whoosh sound then it stops.
I haven't had that happen other than if a camera is dirty or has a stubborn water drop that doesn't want to go away while driving.
