I have this exact same issue and every time I go to the service shop when I drive them around it doesn't happen lol. Thank you! I will give this a shot.
You're probably right, now that I think about it it really started when the FSD changed from being able to set a speed. I use to set it to 80 on the interstate and it stays at 82 in hurry now. I didn't think it would make that big difference but that is about the time that the estimates started...
In short I know that hurry mode is not efficient but I have always used hurry mode and it seems to be worse now than it has been. I've made this same drive many times and when I first got the truck about a year ago it would underestimate the usage and I'd get home with more than it expected...
I was averaging 82 (hurry mode) which I know is way less efficient but I have always kept it in hurry mode and its never been that far off before. It seems to get worse at estimating destination battery every update. Maybe it is only estimating for standard now and I have to manually adjust for...
I had a little over a 2 hour drive and was charging my truck at a supercharger to be able to get home. When I finished the charge it said I’d get home with 13% battery. It use to be pretty good at estimating it so I though that was enough and got on the road. After about 10 minutes of driving it...
I went skiing in West Virgina last year and when we left the resort it was about 45 minutes of driving down hill. After driving for 45 minutes I actually had 2% MORE battery than when I left. I was blown away! That was a cool experience.
The best advice I can give you is to rent one for a week and see what you think. I think you'll be surprised how much you like it and how much good feedback you get from people in person.
Another follow-up, for the people saying to "separate the art from the artist," so to speak: it does make a certain amount of sense to say, "if I subjected all my consumer choices to a purity test, I'd never be able to buy anything." But if that's true, and if it's "normal" to just ignore larger...
I recently came across this article:
The Steps You Need To Follow To Not Brick Your Tesla When Washing It
The title strongly implies that washing a Tesla can "brick" it, which would be a major concern for owners. However, after reading through five paragraphs largely criticizing the...
While I agree that the media makes it seem worse than it really is I get flipped off often and had a guy yell from his car cussing me out yesterday when I was walking in the grocery store. There is hate out there for sure.
With all the hate and harassment we get just for owning a certain truck it was a great reminder of the happiness they bring too. A local church was hosting a “Touch a Truck” where there were fire truck, tractors, ambulances and all kinds of vehicles that kids could sit in and have fun. They...
