I just got hit with the VC left and VC rear critical errors driving home today. Got out and back in, reset and fine now. What’s the update from everyone else on this? SC can’t diagnose remotely and told me to come in, but that appt. Isn’t for 2 more weeks.
Mine just started doing this, I even replaced the blade and while better, it’s still leaving wiper fluid in the middle. Any help would be appreciated, don’t really feel like taking it to service.
I did the backer rod thing and it’s improved but still not bone dry. Also put waterproofing weatherstripping over it. Still allowing water in (ever so slightly)
gross silicone bead may be only solution but at this point I’m probably fine with it until the release a new applique cover, might be...
Ok I stuffed the heck out of it in that tiny gap. And covered with auto weatherstripping. I’ve never used backer rod before, do I have anything to be concerned about wet or freezing weather and that foam expanding and causing any other issue?
This is really smart. I ordered this on amazon, I’m gonna do this today and then put a weatherstripping seal over it too. I’ve been use auto weatherstripping on that gap for a couple weeks and that’s been working decent, but this should do the trick combined. Nice work!
This happened to me couple days back. I pulled off all the Aeros, filled my tires to 50 psi, and put covers back on. Problem solved. Psi was only at 46 but Sounded weird to be just low psi, so I dunno what the actual sound was
Just read your invoice- that won’t fix it. Mines gone in twice for that. The real issue is the applique (where the glass meets the trim) that gap you see is where most the leaks come from. The water management will help, but if that applique sealed foam is failing at all it’ll have water. I...
How’s this holding up for everyone? I put the stripping down and I still get some drips. I think it’s improved though. I wonder if maybe I didn’t push the adhesive down enough maybe? Also, how do I get this off safely to try and reapply.
