So, quick question because I'm too lazy to research;
For those who ticked the box to freeze the price of FSD when pre-orders were being taken - Are those original FSD price tags being honoured?
I think Iām 213k in line, and ordered two days after the event for my Australian account. My FSD and specifications are also missing!
Iām not expecting the configurator to become available in this country anytime for the next two years though.
The redundant electronic system is good news. Is there a link to that exact design rule you are able to provide? I'd be interested in reading.
There is a single hole in the firewall, on the drivers side. Size and position suggest it's designed for a steering column. Would be sweet if they don't...
Literally the last 3 seconds of this video show that the Pre-production model definitely has a steer-by-wire system. The front wheels are almost full-lock, whilst Franz is only making quarter-turns at the steering wheel.
I think we will see steer-by-wire in the production model, though as far...
I always thought these rectangles on the vertical A-Pillars were for tweeter speakers, but looking close-up, they are covered in the same fabric as the rest of the trim which suggests theyāre removable panels, as you mentioned.
My thoughts are, these slots must be designed to fit small screens...
Those reflections at night :love:
Does anyone else enjoy the relentless wave of moaning from the general public each time a new video is posted on the Cybertruck? Reading them has now become a bit of a personal hobby. Half the reason I want to buy a CT now is just so I can annoy them IRL.
I canāt see any wires either, just the wiper linkage/prong at the normal swivel point. Theyāve literally just uninstalled the wiper and left the mechanism as is.
BTW, that photo angle of Cybertruck looks sexy AF.
I donāt think the front headlight is broken, just looks like they re-wired it to those two little windshield lights which @Dids mentioned. What the heck are those anyway?
I love how the dude writing the article is banging on about how difficult it is to stamp stainless steel, even though the Cybertruck will have no stamped stainless steel. Fantastic journalism right there. ? Imagine paying money to read this tripe, lol.
Good point, I never thought of that. The prototype at the Cyber rodeo event IMO definitely had a steer by wire system - the front wheels at low speed were extremely agile, considering the driver was only making quarter-rotations at the yoke. Iām just secretly hoping it takes two more years, as...
Iām deeply inspired! Typical wait times for RHD variants to hit Australia is about two years from USA launch, which I think is plenty of time for a decent stock rebound. I hope both of our CTās are sharing the first shipment.
