We joke, but this may not be a bad strategy for Tesla. Build and deliver based on current anticipation from the owners. Why build, assingn a VIN, deliver, then have it sit on a lot for extra weeks/months or people back out of the deal? We've seen a few here already do that. VINs may be assigned...
