For me it was never about utility. It was simply better than having a small mirror, maybe some redundancy for recording or whatever known / unknown use I may have for it. To each his/her own. Glad it worked out for you.

Reached out a few days ago- they said they are working on it. I hate that the speaker is not working, but not as much as I hate the idea of ripping everything out. I do not know how to fix the wiring harness (I read somewhere that there is a missing pin?). Maybe someone who has done this...
