Now that we have Intervention Categories, It's clear that Tesla is trying to get better feedback on when we take oveover for FSD. I welcome that. But the method used in 14.3.2 (at the time of this initial post) IMO still is pretty lacking. There are two things that stick out for me:
1) I run...
Back on topic guys.
I'm planning on a 2M/70cm radio install as well. As another post mentioned, running the inverter for long periods can drain mileage. In the OP's use case, it's likely a great way to do it (as long as you remember to turn off the outlets afterwards). My use case is supporting...
I'm in WA. I've used State Farm for my CT since I got it in October of 2024. No issues. And since I pay every 6 months, I just got another renewal notice. recently. no issues.
First off, the $30k will be for a base model that will likely never be built. Same as the Rivian R2. Rivian quoted their pricing based on the RWD version, which they won't make initially. So, why would Ford be any different? Second off, Ford certainly will start off making them at a loss. My...
The problem with a thread like this is it matters more about your age/credit score/driving history than that it's a Cybertruck. I'm old, have a great credit score, no accidents that were my fault, and have been with State Farm for over 40 years. I only pay $515/6 months. My wife pays slightly...
Actually, that makes sense. A Powerwall would always be ready to pull from, if the utility needed the amps. But if your CT is out driving, or was inadvertently unplugged, they wouldn't know it wasn't available until they tried to grab some to protect the grid.
As a follow-up to my previous post, The "Bagster" works great for when I haul nasty materials, like Gravel. I attached weights on strings in a few places. and I cut a slender rod to hold the forward upper corners in place. Here's few pictures of the setup, when I had a wholesler dump 1/2 yard of...
One problem with V2G is scale. How many tesla owners are among a particular electrical utility's customers, vs total customers? And what percentage of those have Powershare? Unless this becomes a significant percentage of the total user base, it does little to nothing, to help the utility.
When Optimus 4 comes to be built in Texas, that should guarantee the CT line will continue. Because the still need to deliver those robots to customers. Imagine 5 Optimus needed in Florida. If you have even one customer for a CT, they climb in and it's a one way road trip! Should be great...
I've been following this situation closely. There's no question for me. I'll buy it before 2/14/26. Everyone's use case is different though. it matters if:
1) being adverse to monthly payments vs. pay once.
2) if you have multiple Teslas in a household, perhaps you buy it for only one vehicle...
Brilliant! I'd actually be considering sewing the corners at the front end on the tarp aproach. This does that for me. And the 8' x 4' dimensions allow ample room in the bed.
I recently hauled 3/4 yard of crushed gravel in the bed. I had a tarp down to keep the worst of it from getting into the moat around the smuglers bay. It worked, sort of. But a week later I'm still getting gravel falling out from under the tailgate hinge.
So I am planning on setting up...
It seems to me, that the goal of an EREV, is to keep the generator in reserve, until you reach a certain low SOC. Then it would run. But even then, the battery might run low, before you run out of gas. So, if you come across a charger, you use that. And the gasses tank size would be somewhat...
