I currently drive a 2014 Silverado that is regularly maintained, and have much more than a 2% loss compared to the starting EPA rating.
But lets suppose you're correct and well maintained ICE vehicles will only have 2% loss. We still need to consider the cost factor because of the money spent...
I agree with you on wanting more for $85k, as well as most of your list.
However #4, and 10 are not likely even if they do everything else.
#4 - unless solar tech has drastically improved you just cant get that much range with the surface area on the CT.
#10 - it may take more time, but...
If they do have something like this I hope its a side by side tow challenge. Another tug o war style would impress me about as much as Ford having the lightning pull those trains.
Cabot here with Tri-Motor.
I have a coworker who is the 2nd owner of a 2012 MS and also has a reservation for the CT. He told me that the only time his car has been in the shop was when someone hit his car in the parking lot. Not going to be an issue with the CT. ?
I agree that we need more...
I have not seen a screen shot like that before. But yes that should be your estimated months til delivery. Here is you number as you would see it by clicking on the view tracker button from the site.
I'm pretty sure that is you place in line for your selected trim level. The next column over should tell you the number of months after production start til you receive your CT. For example I am getting the Trimotor and my position in line is 182,022, the next column says 17.7 for the number of...
The article did not specify what time frame for the $2400- $3300. But if we compare it to the other rates they listed in the article its pretty clear they meant for a years coverage.
Yeah I fell like maybe they are using old data, for the article. Which is pretty typical when its comes to EV news. Most of the time i hear people saying that their EV insurance is on par or cheaper than before. If that the case i don't see how it could be that much to insure the CT.
This can vary a lot depending on your state and work schedule but i will just use Texas for example.
Cost of electricity per kWh on peak ($.16 Summer/$.10 Winter)$.13 and off peak is $.0276. So lets say you reserve 50 kWh for commuting, that gives you at least 50 kWh( if the CT only has a 100...
Yes there is a lot of debris up there. The Starlink satellites are designed to de-orbit and burn up completely in the atmosphere when they lose the proper function. Elon Musk also talked about the de-orbiting starlink satellite functioning as a debris collector on the way down. This could solve...
Yeah i have seen similar conversation trends on other sites too. I know people tend to be biased to whatever side they are standing on, but how can they be so blind to the vast difference in subsidies. I admit i am biased to EVs, but i at least remain open to all available info.
EV sales get a...
I don't know why they clipped past them opening it during Leno's video. My skepticism makes me feel like they cut something out on purpose., but maybe it was just becuase of the shortness of the video.
If you go back to the reveal video you can see the Quad driver pushes the rectangle to open...
So i need to work on my reading comp, i missed that you said vertical lines.
Blue is the L-track tie downs i was talking about.
Orange are the lower tie downs you normal see in truck beds.
Red is what some think are T-slots, but they may just be grooves. The CyberTruck Truck Guy did a video...
Were you ever able to decern if the RN are linked to Tesla orders. If so is that the corrected number on the spreadsheet? Just trying to figure out if I'm in the 500k or 700k part of the line. Thanks.
If you are talking about the black strip those are L-track tie downs. Very similar to what alot of cargo aircraft use to secure cargo. It'll be great because you can move the connection point to get a better angle for securing awkward sized pieces.
I fit into a couple of these groups: Techie/SciFi, Camper, Work use, Soccer Dad, Not really greenie revenge but big EV fan.
I will be buying the CyberTruck. It has everything i need, and everything i want with a vehicle in one package.
The only reason I'm not already driving EV is because I...
You're right that it would need side mirrors for traditional visibility down the side of big trailers/campers. However nothing about the CyberTruck is traditional. I remember seeing a clip for the 2020 Silverado that used a camera on the trailer for backing up. Shouldn't be too difficult to...
