Rivian only made 24,337 trucks last year, Ford sold 15,617 F-150 Lighting.
It should not be hard for Cybertruck to swamp those number in full production next year with very competitive mileage range
My 2009 Ram 1500 Crew Cab is 18.75 feet (with 5.5' bed). I was afraid CT was going to be longer than that. I already stick out of most parking spots in it, especially with a WD hitch attached.
Just saw an interesting youtube on a test comparing a round trip towing a 10k pound enclosed trailer (with a Tesla car for the weight). Very interesting. The Rivian range was about 100 miles towing compared to about 300 without towing.
The Ford F-150 Boost was close to the same cost to refill...
Well reality is starting to set in for me. My trusty Dodge RAM 1500 is starting to show it's age.

Would it even be possible to charge with your own panels that have a 12,24V output? I would like that for even at home with a solar carport and without the need for overhead of beefy inverter, charge controller, battery storage needed for traditional charging.

Can't disagree. The only reason I didn't get the "Dual" motor version is that I need the extra range to help with towing. I had to select "Tri-motor" to get the extra battery capacity :(
(and the fact that the Tr-motor was expected to be produced 1st)
I was also hoping for better outlook on CT production and ended up with a realization that a CT or other viable EV Truck is not in my near future. I think a large population is just expecting that EV's could or should replace ICE vehicles quickly. But the idea of shutting off our fossil fuels...
If I can upgrade the battery capacity of a dual motor model to that of the Tri Motor model
Planned availability of charging stations to handle CT + trailer.
This will be my first EV. I am replacing a 2009 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 2WD Hemi. Went from a 5K lb trailer to a high profile 7K lb 26' camper that has my mileage down to < 8MPG. (20MPG no towing on hwy with fuel saver).
I caught some of the original CT unveiling at the time and thought the look...
