AGREED!
Reading through it I was waiting for the "Gotcha" moment when they admitted it was tongue in cheek.
Rivian a rival to CT? They're not in the same class. Literally. Rivian is a little truck like a Ranger. CT is an F-150. Lightning is an electric F-150, with worse stats and higher...
Personally I would pay extra to have knobs/dials instead of the large ugly screen (imo).
Any chance that will be an option?
There's no way a screen is "more durable" than dials/buttons. It feels tacky to me as well. Also much more difficult to operate the touch screen than physical...
Where did you get these figures?
With the US/Can exchange the Dual Motor should be around $65k so I'm budgeting $70k in my head (plus tax). There's probably some extra shipping cost or duty, but I sure hope it's not in the $15,000 neighborhood. And I'm not sure, will the CT be eligible for...
I'm crossing my fingers for a lot of people who put the $100 deposit will walk away and cut the line waaaay down. I'm around 200,000th in line, but am in Canada which I'm worried might put me farther down the pecking order.
Here's hoping a bunch of people changed their minds about the CT! Oh...
That is devastating news.
How long are we supposed to wait? What about the "leaked" report that production would begin by late summer 2021? What if production gets delayed until 2023? And delivery 2024?
I need a new truck this year. I signed up for the CT in 2019, now they're talking...
Interesting. I guess I was just basing the cost on exchange rate, hadn't thought of enough extra fees to really worry about. The tax should be based on a before tax cost - unless the Canadian government was being an a$$hole and double dipping?!
Only the Tri-Motor should be around $100,000 CDN.
If it comes out at $110,000 that's an extra $2,000 tax, but the numbers I've read was that the Tri should be just shy of six figures. The Dual-motor will do more than enough for me so I'm not too worried about the tax myself as it should come in...
What is "shallow charging"?
I have a 2017 Ioniq that I just charge at home on a Level 1 (110V) regular wall adaptor (dedicated circuit of course!). But I have had periods (ie: pre-covid) where I was charging using a fast charge Level 3 on a weekly basis - sometimes two or three times/week. I...
Just wheels/axles pretty much the main difference. And shape has more flexibility with a tiny home - but most do need to fit on a trailer anyway. Also a Tiny Home can be much, much cheaper than an RV.
Ah I see - it was more involved than I thought. Thank you for your help, I now am uploaded into the spreadsheet. I ordered my CT a week after the unveiling so my number is over 300,000. Looks like 2022 for me (and probably most people at this rate).
I made my order in November 2019 but don't see my RN number listed in this spreadsheet.
What does it mean?? Am I screwed? I replied to my confirmation email but just got an automated response that didn't really say anything.
It would be nice for some sort of update from Tesla about the CT to keep people interested.
This forum is great though. I like to tell my wife tidbits I've read from the forum and say that I get behind the scenes secrets via text directly from Elon (or "Musket" as he prefers to be called by...
With your tri-motor reservation, have you been getting any CT update emails from Tesla? I reserved pretty early on and aside from a "Thank you for your order" email with my order # I haven't received any other updates. Wondering if I'm missing something.
Can you not just plug into 110V with the Cybertruck? There are lots of charging stations through BC and the number is growing rapidly. But 110V is literally everywhere that has a town or gas station (or house).
I've had my EV for 3 years and mostly charge with my 110V at home. Obviously on a...
This article references wait times for "elective surgeries". That being said, it states a very long wait time for an ultrasound. I had an ATV accident a few years back in BC. Went to the Dr 3 or 4 days later - just a walk in clinic. Dr. suggested I get an ultrasound but I probably just...
