FS is closed, prove me wrong

As I recall when the FS order first came about, I saw that there were some people on this forum who were thinking about whether they should order or not because of the high price tags and it looked like after a period of 24 hours went by for them and the invitation(s) were withdrawn.

FS is closed, prove me wrong

I got my FS invitation about a week ago and the App still allows me to start designing my FS CT. Looks like Tesla has removed the time clock for ordering one. I also noticed that on the Tesla website for the CT (tesla.com/cybertruck) that they allow the public to reserve the non-FS series CTs...

2025-2026 Cybertruck Feature/Improvements Wishlist (Franz Please Consider)

Iā€™m still looking for the video(s) showing the interior view of the vault opening or closing but so far none yet. Iā€™ll keep looking.

2025-2026 Cybertruck Feature/Improvements Wishlist (Franz Please Consider)

Hmm, I havenā€™t had the privilege in accessing the cabin of the CT yet, but if the vault doesnā€™t block the rear window when closed then it would make the modification a bit easier but I kinda remember there was a diagram of the vault slat roller system from the bottom and it feeds the slats...

2025-2026 Cybertruck Feature/Improvements Wishlist (Franz Please Consider)

How about modifying the slats so that when the tonneau is closed so that it has the cut-out profile of the back window to give access and for safety, include a lockout so that it cannot be opened/closed until the owner inputs a verification to do so?

Brutally Honest CyberTruck Review: 2 Months & 4,000 Miles Later

So far Tesla has been listening to itā€™s customers on what needs to be improved and/or added, so itā€™s just a matter of time.

Brutally Honest CyberTruck Review: 2 Months & 4,000 Miles Later

Thanks Eric! Very informative video. I agree with you on the pricing. The car market is still at highly inflated pricing and needs to come down to more affordable levels. Hopefully that will be the case by the time my CT is ready and like you said, when all the bugs and needs are worked out and...

Idea for alternative to wrap: Magnetics …..

Another unmentioned issue is that this magnetic wrap is that it can be removed/stolen too easily!

Do the Cybertruck AWD and Cyberbeast trims use all AC motors or some AC and DC motors?

Youā€™re very welcome! I enjoy my hobby very much now that everything I fly or control is electric powered. I hated the noisy, finicky and messy nitro engines I had to use. Then electric power came and I quickly converted and never looked back. Just plug in and go. Yes, the CB power train layout...

Do the Cybertruck AWD and Cyberbeast trims use all AC motors or some AC and DC motors?

I believe ƁC induction motors have been around for a long while especially in industrial use and are in our plug-in household tools and appliances. High power DC permanent magnet motors are fairly new especially neodymium magnet motors. These changed the electric powered model aircraft and now...

Do the Cybertruck AWD and Cyberbeast trims use all AC motors or some AC and DC motors?

Yepp. These permanent magnet motors are incredible! A motor that easily fits in the palm of your hand can put out ~12 hp at 16,000 rpmā€™s at ~60 volts dc and make great 3 phase high power AC generators (regen).

Do the Cybertruck AWD and Cyberbeast trims use all AC motors or some AC and DC motors?

The permanent magnet motors used in the Teslas appears to be the same electrical configuration as the motors and speed controllers I use in my model aircraft (see my thumbnail). Three terminals and wires are used to the motor and speed control which means the ESC or Electronic Speed Control does...

    Cybertruck unable to charge

Hmm, another thing to check is in both your Tesla APP and others and also in the vehicle that you donā€™t have any Charge Scheduling ENABLED that can keep it from charging. We found this out in our MY to where my Son didnā€™t have anything scheduled (i.e. charge outside of TOU, 4pm to 9pm), but my...

    Extended range battery

Even if they made a special plug, only certified techs with special HV gear are allowed to even touch the HV lines. Another cut-off switch plus coolant and sensing electronics connections would have to be made and installed and make things even more complicated. More connections means more...

I would also worry about the high voltage connections too. Not something a DYI er would casually attempt.

Wade Mode Test! Shows How Deep Cybertruck Can Drive in Water šŸ˜±

Wow! I wondered if the drive units are also sealed, but since they still worked they must be! Letā€™s see how the wheel bearings hold up to water intrusion. I would be awfully curious after that excursion.

    No Cabin Overheat Protection?

Try submitting your concern/question to Tesla by going into your TESLA App and select ā€Serviceā€. Select ā€œAsk a questionā€ and put in your concern about missing Cabin Overheat Protection in the question box and submit it. That should get their attention from there and they should respond.

    Mileage at Delivery Seems High

When we received our MY it had 35 miles on it as they drove it from Sherman Oaks to the house. Another employee followed and they both went back after. This was last last year. Paperwork said 5 miles.
