I've been told by officer that there is no benefit or risk to covering license plate in a photo. Hell, someone can't get your vin number and plate number of your vehicle at any time in a parking lot and do way more damage with both.
Florida Film Werkz here in North Fort Myers Florida has been specializing in PPF installs for 25+ years. Here is one we did in 3M Black Brushed Stainless vinyl wrap with all edges wrapped. Kit is a T-Sportline supplied by customer and professionally installed by us.
There is a good chance that if the Republicans win this November that the tax credit on EVs will disappear and 2025 models will not get a tax credit anyway.
....and that, on Teslas part, is BS. How did a $60k truck go to $100k at release of the FS package but it's only a $10k difference now that non FS is coming. I'm on my second new Chevy lease since 2021 waiting on a Non-FS with my very early reservation. But I'm not paying $80k for a Non-FS base...
It's not so much that aftermarket tint doesn't match, like the tint I sell, off the roll you can hold it up next to the rear glass and it matches perfectly. The problem is, the factory glass is dyed throughout the entire thickness of the glass so on the outside you are looking at the tint. On...
There are a couple film manufactures that offer a 25% film and that would be the closest to a perfect match to the rear that you can get. 20 and 15 are both at least 10% darker or more than the rear roll up windows. One of the best quality 25% in my opinion that I have sold in the past is...
Where did I say 30% + 23% = 53%?? Yes in math that's correct a 8 yr old knows that but 53 is lighter than both the others, that wasn't me that said that. If you put 50% (53% off the roll) over top of the 23% rear dyed glass it meters at 12% and if you put 15% (my film is a 17% off the roll) on...
It will look like it matches from the outside but looking out from the inside looks terrible with the front darker than the rear. I can see from the picture the fronts are darker.
Well, you said you only put 15% on the front four. That would mean you didn't tint the rears darker and I don't need a photo because I do know already how bad it looks. I tint windows for a living, been doing it 35 years and I'd never put 15% on the front doors and leave it like that unmatched to...
...and nothing over the rears to match them to the 15% fronts (11% metered)? That's gotta look ridiculous with the fronts 10% darker than the rear. 50% (52% off the roll) over the rear 24% is almost a perfect match to 15% over the 72% factory green glass.
Yes, he is correct, I am a tinter. Most tint shops only stock up to 40" width film and on this vehicle 60" film is required. That size film is only used on Tesla windshields only and no other vehicles. This is why it is hard to find a tint shop that will order $1500 roll of ceramic film in...

With removal of flares, window rubber and mirrors, wrap and reinstall a day or so. I also cut a hell of a deal on permanent Borophene ceramic coating if done at same time. I Also do window tint (35 yrs) headlights and reflector PPF wrap. And my install rates are about the same as T-Sportlines...
