Thank you for this. My original Tesla 128GB drive was nearly full. Now I have 1TB and the partitions/folders work great. it's nice that I don't have to switch drives to do custom lightshows like Knight rider!
How would I find evidence of this being applied to the Cybertruck? I don't know anyone at Tesla or in the government.
I'm just asking why we don't have Cybertrucks in Canada yet and I think this may have something to do with it.
I do note that California has similar laws, (though very...
Is this, perhaps, one of the reasons we don't have Cybertruck registrations in Canada?
"A person must not operate an armoured vehicle except under the authority of a valid armoured vehicle permit issued in the person's name."
"armoured vehicle" means a motor vehicle manufactured or adapted for...
Back to the original post:
Does this photo negate the idea of Tesla using the "unboxed process" in manufacturing the Cybertruck?
Is it possible that the front and rear could be mostly assembled before joining them together as shown in the photo?
Certainly, the doors are subassemblies that...
While I'm certain that structural adhesives will be involved, I expect Tesla to weld studs to the SS, just like SpaceX does for mounting thermal tiles on Starship. Then the panels get bolted onto the stamping and castings.
Even so, the structural adhesives will do most of the work.
I took these on the 25th but forgot to add them here. Looks like Original Joe's is expecting business to increase.
The paving is complete now.
I'll take some more pictures this weekend.
From the patent application:
While not illustrated, it may be appreciated that the vehicle 600 may include an interior glass structure. For example, the vehicle 600 may include a glass dash positioned in the front of the vehicle 600 which is formed as described herein. In this example, the...
From what I can tell, the rear roof glass is flat, with a curved front edge so the windshield and hood are slightly convex. This may relate to the patent Tesla released with tight radius bends in glass, as well as glass welding.
Of note, the patent also mentions that the entire dashboard could...
On the topic of economies of scale, if all of the variants have 4 wheel steering, the overall unit costs go down and the manufacturing is simpler.
In the same way, I think the Plaid motor (carbon-wrapped-rotor) could become standard across all models.

Wow! I'm definitely not the guy you want on your team playing "I Spy" (that is a team sport, right?)... I literally drove past this last night and didn't realize what it was until I saw this post...
I know that this is an old thread, but with the recent progress on the 9T Gigapress I am seriously beginning to imagine that there is a small possibility for me to fly down to Austin and drive back to Canada in my Cybertruck before the end of this year.
I shouldn't get my hopes up, though, and...
The aerodynamics of the Aptera are specifically designed for reducing drag while in ground effect. It has very little in common with aircraft body designs. The shape doesn't create any lift - it actually provides some downforce to keep it on the road. Chris Anthony says it bears more resemblance...
