Revisiting "To Wrap or not to Wrap."

Unlike protecting a painted Tesla, you can always choose to wrap a CT later. It’s interesting that the majority of them shown on CTOC are wrapped while the handful that I’ve seen in the wild have all been bare. Perhaps this forum doesn’t represent the true demographic of the average owner.

I don’t buy that argument or those photos.

No Idea Where's The Problem From ...

Hence the “separate issue” comment. The MY wasn’t consistently getting software updates before I added the garage WiFi extender.

No Idea Where's The Problem From ...

A separate issue but I was told the MY WiFi antenna is in the right side view mirror (which was the opposite side from my home WiFi router). I ended up installing a Google WiFi repeater in the garage to have consistent reception

340 Cybertrucks spotted at Giga Texas today 4/15/24

I agree, there is a part of the human psyche that sometimes pressures ourselves to just give up on something to reduce the stress or the chance of disappointment. Don’t give in to it when the end is in sight.

Anti-theft insurance discount removed from Cybertruck

They may insure Teslas but Tesla SC’s do not accept State Farm insurance.

Franklin, Tennessee Tesla receives 30 CyberTrucks Today!

I was in the El Paso SC a few days ago and they had a few trucks for delivery, one of them looked like it was having a bunch of work done and I asked about it. The tech said it needed a software installation. Seemed rather weird to be as it was all opened up with tool bags all over it.

RANGE EXTENDER option when ordering Foundation

I just drove a MX LR+ from TX to SoCal (actually FSD drove 99.9%) and for several stops along the way a particular Founders AWD CT was matching me for approx charge times and range.

Anti-theft insurance discount removed from Cybertruck

I do know that at least in California, Tesla service centers do not accept State Farm insurance because SF refuses to pay the Tesla repair rates.

With recent reports of CT issues, 2nd thoughts anyone?

I’ll admit, despite being obsessed with getting my CT for 4+ years, the thought that I was glad I wasn’t getting one right now did cross my mind. But I got the email yesterday and IMMEDIATELY configured for a FS Beast with all the fixings. I figure the “late 2024” delivery will have given them...

A good Easter for me... ordered / configured Foundation Series Beast with range extender

112971xxx, Merritt Island, FL. I thought I reserved the 3rd night after the reveal (the first time I saw what it was) but Tesla shows 11/25/2019 for the date.

Cybertruck stainless steel surface temperature vs. painted — MEASURED DATA

I understand that but felt compelled to join the “that’s not accurate enough, look how smart I am crowd” 😎

Cybertruck stainless steel surface temperature vs. painted — MEASURED DATA

If the tape is a different emissivity and obviously different absorption then wouldn’t the tape itself as well as the area beneath it be a different temperature than the bare metal you are thinking you are measuring?

A good Easter for me... ordered / configured Foundation Series Beast with range extender

Sitting in the airport and checked my phone and had the email to configure, which I immediately did. Foundation series Beast with range extender. Expected delivery “late 2024”.

Cybertruck stainless steel surface temperature vs. painted — MEASURED DATA

I’d think getting the temperature of tape-covered stainless would have its own measurement accuracy issues. I’m surprised folks aren’t suggesting an array of RTDs glued to the inside surface 🙄.

FSD is supposed to be: "this is the weekend"?

I don’t mind being a bit slow but I don’t like to hold up drivers behind.
