I think there's a bigger issue here that hasn't been brought up.... I don't think there's buttons to open/close the tonneau cover from inside the bed. the buttons are on the outside unless I missed it. And given the glass isn't passthrough from the cabin I guess you can't sleep inside the bed...

Yeah, the safety of their system was a red flag for me too. Tesla chargers may be slower but I expect over the next couple years we’ll hear about more issues with higher V systems.
