Electrical malfunction causing that one wheel to seize. They had it for three days, gave me a CT loaner. Replaced rotor, caliper and pads under warranty. Excellent service from my SC. Could have ended differently had I driven another mile or so.

This thread showed up just in time. My FSCT is at the SC now getting other work done. I just texted them a replacement request.

Just under 5k miles. It went in to the SC today. Gave me a '25 CT for a loaner. Said it could be a few days while engineering studies what happened.

Thanks for those tips. When not driving, park seems to be the default position. I put the truck in neutral to see if the caliper opened up. It automatically went back in to park when I opened the door.

Truck was wrapped with color coordinated calipers by one of the big name professional shops one year ago. At this late date I'm confident their work did not cause this. I'm sure the SC will attribute the fire to the paint.

Is spray paint conductive?

While on this topic, any suggestions about removing spray paint from ceramic coated PPF film? I was planning a trip from FL to NJ this summer but am nervous of the risk.

Thanks for your assist. I did that, the reboot sequence got the truck re-activated. Downside, blank touch screen. Drove it to Tesla authorized repair shop for them to troubleshoot. Sure glad there is a directional indicator above the rearview mirror. This was the first time I ever used it.

Good suggestion. This company has a lot of Tesla experience. I would expect them to use something like that.

A simple tilt / swivel screen adapter install turned into a dead in the garage, CT. Two bolts and a video cable connect, what can go wrong?
