You might be the epidemy of an over compensating troll.
I will drive around at 3 miles per kWhr and easily park. The Telo will serve my truck needs 90% of the time. I only need a truck 10% of the time, so........ It is not a fashion or man statement, it is utility.
No thank you. I am on board with the Telo truck with AWD and 350 miles range for ~$43,500 with the rebate. ~6000 lbs towing, 2000# payload, 0-60 in 3.5, easy parking, 5' bed. Sorry Tesla $39k maybe.
I always thought a reinforced fabric tonneau would serve 90% of the benefit for 30% of the cost. (hide stuff/aero/some cutting deterrence. ) while saving money and space. It could be located below the roof lip. Further the space for the hard tonneau could be accessible for 48vdc...
They are both capped at up to $80k. The RWD model will be less, but with options to upgrade up to $80k. Still someone at Tesla told the government that the RWD is coming.
More evidence today that demand is crashing. The people that could afford an $80k plus truck is bought one (pent up demand), and the remaining pool is limited.
I am holding for under $65k, but not holding my breath. The CT is a small portion of the Tesla plan, like the model S. My...
I think you are mostly right except for the little demand levers they are pulling. The RWD performance will be surprisingly good. I would consider it if they kept the 4ws and the range, but if I recall they are planning on less range.
I am simply saying that the $80-100k plus truck market is nearing saturation. The % of people that can afford it simply doesn't exist at 200k units per year. Sure your have a buddy that paid $95k for a Silverado, but look at the big data.
The lesser trucks will be discounted first, then...
"Only" Only a sith lord deals in absolutisms. Red/blue sales motivation for the CT is peanuts..... a red herring.
Elon is about a world reorder, which even he can't truly doesn't understand. It is uncharted territory. UBI, exodus to Mars, digital currency, no vehicle ownership for the...
So your current reservation, if you have one, probably won't apply to a "smaller" CT.
The $100 reservations have proven not to be worth much. They may have even be a detriment to value to bring your order in 3 months. I am considering the Scout and the RAM EREV range extended model but...
I have been following the CT for a long time and $100 doesn't really mean much. Cancelling was a little hard. You got me, it is personal validation.
As stated, I still want one, and may purchase if 1:3 things change and if it helps your validation I am a little jealous. :)
I know my...
As stated, the reservation system no longer means anything. So buy or get your money back. This is not a boycott thread.
For me 1 of 3 things need to change. If I were to rank them, the range/battery is probably the highest. This has been argued to death.
I hate the red/blue crap and...
Before I get blasted, I still want the truck, it is the best on the market at the current price. Congrats to owners. I may still buy one, but the reservation system means nothing and I might as well take my family out for dinner. At least 1 of 3 things would have to change to help me...
My wife and I gross $250k and there is not a path to a $1000 payment for us. The pool of folks that can afford that is only so deep.
No matter how you slice it, $80k is way more than the average wannabee truck owner can or should spend. Tesla won't make 250,000 per year at that rate...
If you have lots of time to go slower and backtrack then you might be ok with 300 miles and these areas become doable. The route planning limitations is worse than the 30 minute stops.
