It's a big oversight from Tesla. I'd like to see a proper cockpit feel for the driver and front passenger that would eliminate that dead space on the floor. The current design feels like the old school pickups with the giant bench seat all the way across.

I'd argue that's dangerous to have items that could make their way to the drivers footwell area. For instance in a upset maneuver, rapid acceleration or deceleration. The accelerator and brake pedal is there. This is a big safety issue in my opinion

It's a shame that Tesla didn't incorporate similar interiors like in the S3XY where the phone is just under the screen. It's in a pretty ideal location. The CT interior needs a rework with a similar set-up.

Thanks for the attentive replies to each person. I'd like to see an option that would fit into the lower center console tray that would raise it up quite a bit and improve storage options. This would also keep items separate from the footwell of the passenger and driver. I feel Tesla failed...

Another spot desperately in need of something other than those subdivider trays is the center console. How about a large center console drop in for that awkward open space between the driver and passenger footwell? That's wasted open space! 3rd party companies... Where you at?

Heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated windshield (like on aircraft with gold filaments) not hot air blowing across it. Extra windshield wiper defrosting capability so I don't have to stop and bang the ice off in a bad storm. Forward looking infrared vision for night.
