Morgan Stanley is predicting 50 deliveries in 2023, 30k deliveries in 2024, and 78k deliveries in 2025. it looks like I have plenty of time to save up money.
  2. OFFICIAL 2024 Cybertruck Pricing, Specs, Mileage/Range, Dimensions, Weight, Info

I donā€™t doubt that. Tesla has been strong on matching production to orders. Unlike legacy makers who sell through dealerships, Tesla doesnā€™t get stuck with unsold inventory. Tesla has said it can produce 125k CTs in the first year and 250,000 CTs annually after that. Maybe it will and maybe...
  3. OFFICIAL 2024 Cybertruck Pricing, Specs, Mileage/Range, Dimensions, Weight, Info

Every single CT not rolled off the line and so not sold in the first year or two or even three brings in greater net loss. The sunk costs are already sunk. Isnt it better to sell 50% more product at 25% less revenue per unit than to either have unsold inventory or production capacity sitting...
  4. Spotted testing in Truckee, CA (my Cybertruck sighting experience)!! + Insight into windshield wiper visibility + Engineers feedback

I appreciate the posting. But 16Ā° being ā€œcold weatherā€? šŸ˜‚ Where I live in Canada, some people are still walking around wearing shorts. šŸ˜ƒ
  5. Cybertruck reservation order number -- how to tell your place in line

People in Toronto, Ontario who have their names on the wait list for season tickets for the Toronto Maple Leafs put the right to the tickets as bequests in their wills. Maybe some CyberTruck reservation holders will do the same thing.
  6. Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

I drive in two very different environments. 1. Semi-rural Canada, on two-lane roads and four-lane divided highways. Gentle, speed limit obeying, ā€œrules of the roadā€ baby boomer type folks, in a mild west coast climate. 2. Rural Mexico with two-lane roads, two-lane highways and four-lane...
  7. Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

OK, tell me more about these illegal immigrants and the stalwart physicians and Teslaā€™s FSD decision making so that I can get the point.
  8. Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

If a private company ever gets control of, or access to, so much private, personal information that it knows the immigration status of every pedestrian, the academic and professional status of every passenger, and the detailed plans of each passenger, then I think autonomous driving will be a...
  9. Does everyone believe FSD will be viable in the next 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

I bought FSD-capability (ā€œcapabilityā€ is all we can buy now) on my TM3 in Canada. Iā€™m in my 60s. I have seen the driving abilities of friends and relatives deteriorate with age. I expect improvements in the FSD-capability to offset deterioration in my driving abilities with time. I donā€™t expect...
  10. Can a CT be realistically kept outside?

Kitchen knifes would show rust. Non-galvanized nails corrode. If kept inside drawers, it takes a long time for knifes to show rust and even then it seems to be amenable to removal easily. But Iā€™m guessing that the Tesla 30x steel will be a lot more ā€œstainlessā€ than kitchen knifes.
  11. Can a CT be realistically kept outside?

I currently live in a very mild climate. In July and August the average high is 23Ā° C. In January the average low is -1 Ā° C. I donā€™t have to worry about extreme cold. I donā€™t even have a garage. (I do have problems with my brakes rusting if I donā€™t use a vehicle for several weeks as Iā€™m about...
