You don't need the Tesla Backup Gateway to do what I just showed in that video. If you have the Tesla Backup Gateway it will do all of that automatically. I elected to do the generator route, so I have a few manual steps as you can see in the video. But it is not a lot to make it happen. It...
Willow Glen Electric is the top installer in the Bay Area. They do all the Tesla employee installs. When they power share backup gateway first came out, they were the only ones in the Bay Area that Telsa allowed to install: https://maps.app.goo.gl/rk6xqcu5tzegKB5Q7
I drove 4.5 hours from San Antonio to Dallas, flawless. The non driving issue is when it parked into a supercharger stall is was not perfectly straight in the parking bay. Once you get used to the speed profiles, you are golden.
The only thing I need the Cybertruck to be able to do is not to have that quick/jerk acceleration when taking off from a full stop. It doesn't need that level of engagement. It should be more human/natural.
Showing the % of FSD usage probably will factor into who gets the updates in the future first. Why send an early update to people that do not use it often.
I had the chance to do a 188 mile round trip with the first half done in the day time and the second half in the evening. Version 14.1.7 is just plan better than v13. One of the more noticeable things was that it no longer wants to hug the left hand side of the lane when it is in the number 1...
With FSD 14 has anyone recalibrated their cameras? I don't know if it is needed, but I read someone here talking about doing it with a major FSD release (12 to 13 to 14). Tesla says it only needs to be done if the windshield or cameras get touched.
I got 14.1.7 last night around 3:00 am CST...
I just want some basic stuff like "Stay in the middle of the lane". You guys are talking about all these advanced features...we still need the basics. There is ZERO reason the Cybertruck should hug the left hand side of the lane in various situations.
Facts. 100%. The way it likes to hug the left side of the lane sometimes is down right scary. I truly believe non-of the Tesla engineers own a Cybertruck with FSD. If someone did they would see how poorly it does in that regards.
The summary version. This is a new home (new build) and the builder had two Tesla Wall Chargers installed as apart of their build out. So when we bought the home, it was already configured/live.
My guess is the two wall chargers were installed by their “normal” electrical contractor that does...
