Most 80-81" wide ICE competitors have option for 3-seat front row

I donā€˜t think any of the competition has a screen like the typical Tesla screen. Also, none of those companies seem to give 2 shakes about actual safety so if the middle seat passenger gets a face full of glass, they donā€™t care. Tesla seems to actually care about that and very likely would not...

The Competition: 2024 Silverado EV Reviews Are In

Musk said this for 2023, not forever!! Long term Cybertruck will have a huge impact on Teslaā€™s bottom line! I definitely see a chance Tesla offers something a bit more expensive first. Though I seriously doubt it will be $10k more expensive and much shorter range to boot.

Just the occasional reminder. The only trucks that sell 250k+ per year have an average selling price around $55k. For every $80k truck Ford sells, they sell 5 $50k trucks. GMā€™s ā€œDenaliā€ line sells in the mid 10s of thousands and Ford sells about the same volume of Lariats. Rivian and Fordā€˜s...

The Competition: 2024 Silverado EV Reviews Are In

Cybertruck is not a luxury vehicle. It is a high volume truck made to be inexpensive to manufacture. Much closer to the Model 3 than the Model X. Musk suggested they only continue manufacturing the Model S/X product lines due to nostalgia. They are vanity products which are built using much...

Frustrating that people on Tesla oriented forums repeat these myths. @HaulingAss has provided some helpful links for you so hopefully you will educate yourself and stop spreading lies.

What concept cars would you skip CT for?

Also more realistic than the Ram Concept truck.

What concept cars would you skip CT for?

    @CybertGusā€™s suggestion was more realistic.

What concept cars would you skip CT for?

Itā€™s funny because I was thinking of the ID.Buzz too. If they released the concept and it had 350 miles range, it would be a super tempting alternative. I donā€™t need a truck so much as a great way to move people and bikes. The Buzz would check all those boxes.

Is Rivian R1T a better work truck than Cybertruck?

Real truck drivers just make a J Turn to flip their truck around in a tight spot.

This is why Cybertruck and Supercharger network will win... Rivian burns down charging at Electrify America

Unfortunately EA is a bit of a dumpster fire and you might be right. That Rivian is stuck using EA is a bit of a downside. Hopefully they hit a deal with Tesla for access to the Supercharger network. Butā€¦ bigger point here is we donā€™t really know what happened. Might well be a cigarette or...

This is why Cybertruck and Supercharger network will win... Rivian burns down charging at Electrify America

Spot on. I donā€™t love Rivian, but letā€™s not jump to conclusions. We donā€™t have a ton of evidence here.

Is Rivian R1T a better work truck than Cybertruck?

Munro is weird to me. They are **really really good* at some things. Easily the best source around when talking about simplifying assembly and design and cost estimates. If they just stuck to the stuff they are good at, they would be A++. And they are A++ in their bailiwick. The problem is...

Is Rivian R1T a better work truck than Cybertruck?

This is what they claimed the reasoning is. I think the reality is they did this like 50 times and it worked once (you can see the tread all torn up in the video). They used that video to make a promo shot, but have not since been able to repeat it. Connecting the Dots did a video where he...

2024 Tacoma Revealed, Now With Hybrid šŸ”‹

Toyota already makes the most expensive pickup trucks around. Add in about $5,000 - $7,000 for a hybrid option and now itā€™s very likely in cost competition with the Cybertruck. Just canā€™t see thisā€¦.

Cybertruck efficiency vs F150 Lightning efficiency

Seriously doubt this will be the case. If nothing else, it is highly likely the surface area of the Cybertruck is much less than that of the 150. But odds are itā€™ll be more than that. Just the vault shape should get the Cybertruck a bit of an edge. I donā€™t think the difference will be anything...

2024 Tacoma Revealed, Now With Hybrid šŸ”‹

Looks like a pretty crap experience for backseaters regardless. Pretty near zero room for third person to put their legs. I do like the colors on the interior though. Also, while I appreciate that maybe Tesla went overboard with eliminating knobs. Old-school cockpits with a million buttons...

    Ram 1500 REV - 350 mi (168 kWh) & 500 mi (229 kWh)

We owned a Safari (aka Astro) van and it was amazing. If Tesla launched something along those lines Iā€™d get one in a heartbeat. It is a crime that so many people think of large SUVs before mini-mid sized vans which are massively more functional. Stupid CAFE legislation slaughtered the minivan by...
