Iv always wondered if EV's could be charged by lifting up the back and spinning the tires. makes me wonder if some type of apocalypse water wheel could charge them
Im kinda bummed we havnt learned anything about adding extra solar to the CT.
It was never suggested by tesla though (other than the integrated solar bed cover option)
the main voltage used in the Cybertruck wiring is 48v (instead of the usual 12v).
this means the wires can be substantially thinner, lighter, therefore cheaper.
of Course they will convert it to 12v where needed, like at the accessory plugs.
seem like every school in my area has solar in the parking lots, getting harder and harder to find large open lots for our motorcycle training classes... i see a trend
this is why click based things are dumb.
Just put a generator on a hitch mount, quiter, doesnt modify the car as much, better efficiency, easily removable. and of course less cool looking
But I guess charging while driving might not be that hard of a mod, if Tesla doesnt have it from the...
Whats the TLDR? I dont want to read it.
seems counterintuitive not to charge at night when no1 else is using energy. im guessing the argument is that we will have to keep more fossil fuel plants running since solar doesnt work at night.
i got interested, it looks likes theres bolts into your wall, then the tesla box screws into that, with what seems to be relatively easily removable screws. video... https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxVoWwSkze1nSJjYBRz-SGdIK47o_DrBcb
it also seems like the OP knew this already, lol
i dont have and havnt seen a tesla wall charger
but based on the replies, it seems to be bolted to the wall, thus not easily removable. im sure you (the owner and your electrician) could simply make it removable when you install it.
Im positive they would rather spend a few HOURS cutting wire and stripping it than work a couple DAYS at starbucks or something boring like that. still ez money in their eyes
