I find these things fascinating. I kinda don’t want them to tear it down so all their secrets don’t get out, but at the same time I am curious.
My take away is that they are providing “feedback” in the steering to simulate a traditional set up. Maybe I will get an update to get rid of the...
If you keep it 70 mph or under in the highway, you can achieve the range estimates. I did a round trip from SF Bay to Sacramento and averaged 381 Wh/mi. That equates to around 334 miles from 100% to 0%.
I did a trip from SF to Reno to South Lake Tahoe to SF and was I believe 391 Wh/mi. So to...
I took my Cybertruck to South Lake Tahoe this weekend and the wiper struggled in the snow/muddy conditions. It would leave a blurry streak in the middle, which would dry quickly while moving making for a mess.
Not sure if there is a solution for it or just how it is designed.
The last time I let someone valet my car it was my 7 Speed Corvette. This guy struggled to get it out of first. I told him, "point me to the lot because it is obvious you cannot drive a manual."
Jay Leno said in the last Cybertruck video he did..."I don't let anyone VALET my vehicles." He went on to say that he will ask them if he can park it himself and he still will tip them. Then he said, "If it is VALET ONLY, they don't get my business and I just eat somewhere else."
With the seat up you have 57.2" length and 27" width. You could buy this on Amazon for $53.99 shipped to your door to sleep/camp on for a single person. At that size, it could be deployed and kept on the floor when you go on a camping trip or a multi-day adventure across the state or US.
My concern about the range is:
Is the charging speed going to be addressed or improved? If not, then #2
People are starting to take delivery of a Cybertruck with a potential newer 4680 battery that can offer up to 10% to 20% more range. So in theory, the AWD Foundation Series could have LESS...

I think if they can some how figure out how to change the supercharging situation (charge curve) it would not be as bad. These batteries are the largest ones produced by Tesla (for non-commercial use) and I would think they can push out a software update to allow the batteries to “fast charge”...
The CHP report says what happened. Take the time to read it. The Toyota came over the line. The Cybertruck doesn’t appear to have much damage. The Toyota will be totaled. The key thing is being able to walk away, which they did.
