Hi there. I brought my DeLorean to a car show as I usually do on weekends. But today, a Foundation Series Tri Motor Beast came as well. This was my first time seeing one in the wild.
The owner was very nice. He showed me around the vehicle, walked me through the screens, and even let me drive...
Oh man. It’s unfortunate that the CT got rear-ended after only 450 miles. I’d be pissed.
However, what a show of strength for the Cybertruck. The tailgate is not even misaligned! It looks like the bumper took most of the brunt of the impact. The mark of the outline of the ram grill with logo on...
That’s a good question. Considering only velocities: here they are from the Tesla test:
Glock 9mm, 115 grain 1100 f/ps
MP5-SD 9mm 115 grain 950 f/ps
12 ga M4 shotgun 00 buckshot f/ps not listed
Tommy gun .45 ACP 935 f/ps
A 55 grain 5.56 NATO AR-15 round shows a velocity of 2837 f/ps...
Congrats on the delivery. Looks great.
Also happy that at least some delivery centers have the ability to properly remediate scratches, as one would expect. I understand not all centers currently can.
Hopefully the other centers across the country will learn how to do this as well.

Thanks for the review. I tend to characterize The CT as the DeLorean of our generation:
- looks futuristic
- stainless steel
- wedge “ folded paper” design
- every outing in it seems like you are attending a one car car show
Get used to the attention.
Great discussion on production versus reservation estimates.
To add to the information on tranches of reservations, I have an email from Tesla that referred to my January 9, 2020 RN1132xxx number as an “Early Cybertruck reservation”.
Based on this discussion, it’s anyone’s guess if that...
I just carry one of these:

It’s small, light and can double as a...
From where the camera was when she hit the button, I think it sounds like my louder Fiamm “ freeway blaster” horns that I use in my cars. I don’t see a problem.
If the horns are 48 volts, you may have limited options to replace them for a while.
My post was from February 2020 when details were very scarce. Of course, it doesn't make sense now that the specs are released. Here is my full 3-year-old post with added context.
I wouldn't lump all manufacturers into "building and delivering" EVs. Since I own 2 Chevrolets, I have a backup reservation on the Chevy Silverado EV, and was dismayed (but not shocked) by this headline just yesterday:
General Motors Pulls Funding from Foundering Electric Vehicle Efforts in $10...
I agree. The number would likely be a token amount in the ceremony just to kick off the start of deliveries.
For anyone who knows, is that the approach for other new models?
