I suggest you watch the clip of it. It's true that the guy to the right of Elon said they could do it in about 2years. But he didn't sound like it was already part of the plan. Then Elon used a very dismissive tone talking down its value. IMO they want you to buy overpriced powerwalls...
The thing i was most disappointed in was in the q/a it was pretty clear that ct won't have bidirectional charging. I'd rather put my money in a 500 mile ct than a 300 mile ct plus a powerwall.
Impossible for us to know the answer to the ct lfp question for certain but i'm sure tesla will consider it. To me it seems like math, if the numbers work out then it will be made. It's good to have options and while everything seems to be a trade off, i am encouraged by lfp development.
I can love Elon, Tesla, the mission and still be deeply disappointed on how ct news has been delay after delay. I understand the reasons for delays just not the lack of transparency.
Sounds like Tesla is doing awesome but there was no good news for us who care about ct. It was like they wanted to put the quarterly "give us an update on ct, semi, roadster" questions to bed for a whole year. I'm discouraged. The whole landscape it going to be different by the time ct...
I guess it's open to interpretation. I listened to him say it and what i took from it is that they were struggling to keep it affordable. It didn't sound like he was trying to reassure us that the prices would stay as previously quoted. It's just the feeling i got from his tone.
So they are focusing on profits, not on the number of models. I guess as long as that shows up in the stock price because it sounds like the ct is going to have a ton of new tech and cost more than originally stated.
I'm not an engineer so don't get all offended but now that i look at it i have to wonder how this could be an exo skeleton? Wouldn't the body have to wrap all the way around like an airplane? Once you remove the doors, glass, frunk, and tonneau cover there doesn't seem like enough body panels...
