I really like my F150, but the weak points are the dealer model (which is not a value add to the consumer, only their pocketbooks IMO) and Ford's ability to push software OTA.
I think it is also interesting that Ford is separating their EV business from the traditional dealer model, so...
This band is based in Austin and uses Tesla coils as the main feature during their concerts. Seems like a natural fit to me.

It is an emerging technology in beta testing, driving in a very challenging environment. Of course it is going to get some things right, some things wrong... it is all part of the development process.
It is not like Tesla has opened up FSD to everyone and said it is ready for the masses.
And a business is a business. Sure, focusing on the CT would be sexy, but they are still tinkering with the design and it would be a terrible business decision to prioritize that over their high-demand money makers (3's and Y's).
Elon and Tesla made a grown-up decision and it was the correct...
I know it is not what anyone wanted to hear, but they are making sound business decisions for long-term sustained growth, which is good for everyone.
Plus it sounds like they are still tweaking the CT and I would rather give them enough time to get it right, while keeping their factories at...
If you can get a Lightning for under $50k, I would say jump all over that. I would be leery of the price, including dealer markup, as well as the number of Pro models they will sell to non-Fleet customers. Good luck.
Hope so, but time is ticking. I believe they would need a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) before they can begin production.
You can track their applications here, just search for Harold Green Rd. on the address. Hopefully we will see a CO applied for and approved soon...
Here are my thoughts:
- Flat work surface
- Wifi
- Easy access to 110 plug for laptop
- Massaging seats
- Easy to clean rubber floor mats for people going in/out of their truck all day
- Lay flat seats for snoozing if needed (Ford's are not that comfy for someone 6'2", Tesla can do better)
My...
Dang, the 4th motor is just used for that freakin wiper blade.
(apologies if someone else already made the joke, I didn't read all 18 pages of comments)
I'm sure Tesla would steer clear of developing a "Hunting Mode" since there are strict laws about using your vehicle to hunt (no shooting from the vehicle, cannot use the lights/speakers to scare or lure wildlife, cant intentionally hit an animal with your car, etc.).
I hear the horror...
Cybertruck - Designed by Tesla, a company founded in California. Produced in Texas at Tesla's new headquarters.
Everyone happy?
PS - While I agree with the sentiment that the CT would be the most Texan of trucks you can buy, I would not expect politicians to solve the age-old Ford vs Chevy...
Don't forget about the pedestrian warning sounds. Ideally, you would have various options when driving slow and backing up.
My F150 sounds like an airplane when moving forward and there are a lot of complaints on the ford forum. I would love to be able to change it to sound like Kitt from...
