Why not figure out your needs, wants, and values in a vehicle? There is a ton of FUD out there and anti-ev/anti-Tesla types are clearly afraid of it. Tesla is a good company and they have created something special here. CT’s epa range is accurate, and like all EVs if you drive faster than the...
It really depends on how you will use the truck. For people who don’t off-road and prefer better handling the 20” wheels are fine. I just priced 20” vs 18” in an all-weather (Nokian) tire and they were within $40 of each-other. Not a big deal IMHO when you are spending this much on a truck.
Seems that box size is bigger on CT plus 120/240 has more power .. not less. The 2 kW suggestion is plain wrong .. it will likely be 12 kW. The 120 volt plugs are also 20 amp .. so really nice for power tools!
Snow and ice are issues for any tonneau cover .. as someone who has used them a lot .. historically I just kept mine closed duering bad weather and would sweep it clean after storms. Cybertruck will shed really well by driving it .. so not hard. Re the buttons .. pretty sure there will be...
New gas/diesel trucks are also expensive and anyone paying attention to TCO will buy electric. There is no doubt in my mind at all that Tesla will sell as many as they can make.
Or maybe it will use facial recognition. I would think eliminating the handle would reduce this issue since the mechanism would not be exposed to the ice. I guess we will see.
I’m going to jump on you over your tribal comment. Please just stop it. Tribalism has to go. Focus on the issue. How do we appropriately tax to support infrastructure. We need evidence-based and rational thought .. not tribal BS. Sorry for the rant but our country is dying over this BS.
A good rule is 1/3 the cost of gasoline if you are refuelling at home. Solar is a separate issue entirely and the economics depends on your site (orientation, shading, structure) and local utility rates and rules.
