  1. Cybertruck 1000V Architecture + V4 Supercharging Confirmed!! ⚡️ "It's Going to be Used for Cybertruck Too" - Elon Musk

Cory Steuben (Monroe Assoc) had some very interesting takes in the excellent Farzad Mesbahi Semi Delivery live event re the Ver 4 Charger and other relevant aspects of this important "new" CT information. It starts at 2:48.20 of the over 3 hour event coverage.
  2. Franz Interview - Talks About Cybertruck Design, Petersen Exhibit, and Production Model Hints!

Saw this interview on Rob Maurer's Tesla Daily Youtube channel after booking a visit to the Petersen Exhibit in early Janurary. The 1 day trip is a xmas present to myself and will be my first look at the Cybertruck in person. I liked Franz's take on the revolutionary nature of the form follows...
  3. Tesla reliability and cost of ownership.

I have 2 Tesla's and several years and many miles of driving experience in the Teslas. Much of what you read from conventional media exploits FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt). Constand recall notices and crash/fire reports are often aimed at making anything Tesla seem dangerous/risky. Tesla...
  4. PSA: Cybertruck body shell exoskeleton is not one contiguous piece of bent steel

My comments are related to the general release of FSD essentially ending the Beta program. They even removed the incident report button on the most current software release. My wife is anxious to get FSD on her Model 3 but her expectation is that the car will indeed be Full Self Driving and...
  5. PSA: Cybertruck body shell exoskeleton is not one contiguous piece of bent steel

If Tesla is embroiled in controversy and lawsuits due to a premature release of Full Self Driving (FSD) to everyone, it could be very bad for Tesla and, obviously the CyberTruck. Apparently, you don't own a Tesla but believe me, FSD is not there yet and should NOT be released to all people...
  6. PSA: Cybertruck body shell exoskeleton is not one contiguous piece of bent steel

The Exoskeleton will need to be Stainless Steel Origami to qualify as such. Our faith that they can accomplish that doesn't make it so. Tesla is know to stretch with their descriptions and FSD is another good example. FSD is NOT ready for primetime and should continue in BETA test until more...
  7. I may not be able to buy a Cybertruck unless something changes. Anyone else?

With only $100 CT reservation fee just wait it out and see. With that reservation number you'd be lucky to get it in 2024. As for Elon's comments, they are never promises and should not be interpreted as such.
  8. Rumor: 30 Cybertrucks to be manually built in December 2022 [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS or TWITTER TALK]

I'm sorry but I'm an American and we reserve the right to have it our way. For me, it'll always be (as it should) the National Transportation Safety Administration. So much cleaner and to the point (although NUTSA has a certain ring of truth to it). Happy Thanksgiving everyone ... :)
  9. Rumor: 30 Cybertrucks to be manually built in December 2022 [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS or TWITTER TALK]

From consumer reports "To be certified for sale, every new model sold in the U.S. must be crash-tested internally to ensure minimum federal safety standards are met. But a publicly available rating isn’t required." So internal testing to meet federal safety standards is a requirement but the...
  10. Rumor: 30 Cybertrucks to be manually built in December 2022 [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS or TWITTER TALK]

Most of the serious questions have already been answered by the Model Y build and the current CT prototypes. Since the new Giga Press is key to the mass production of the CyberTruck, any version without that key component will NOT be equivalent. IMHO
  11. Rumor: 30 Cybertrucks to be manually built in December 2022 [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS or TWITTER TALK]

Err well maybe ... but unless you're an Tesla insider, I have to question that emphatic no. How do you think they are going to cobble together a LARGE single piece casting for the CyberTruck out of pieces that would in any way represent an equivalent bottom casting holding the battery and joined...
  12. Rumor: 30 Cybertrucks to be manually built in December 2022 [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS or TWITTER TALK]

Without the giga press up and running producing the giga castings, I see no point in this exercise. Do they need more prototypes? With actual production slated to start in less than a year? I think not. Also, crash tests without the giga casting would be invalid.
  13. How much HP do you think the top tier CT will have and what configuration?

Well, if the Quad version is the first CT model, it will create quite a stir and quell many early reservation holders due to a much higher price point. I suppose it's a good way to slow demand until production ramps up, but I think that is a flawed strategy. Pissing customers off is never a good...
  14. It’s looking like 2024 for Cybertruck deliveries

That (the bolded part) is a prime example of a statement totally lacking "good predictive value". Uninformed speculation on what "people within Tesla" think or feel is a basis for the general FUD that follows Tesla like a virus. The company and it's founder are of course inoculated from this but...
  15. It’s looking like 2024 for Cybertruck deliveries

Yes, apples/oranges comparison. The Texas Giga Factory is humming along and new line startup will be much easier now. If the Giga Casting goes as expected and the supply chain isn't an issue, the ramp to full production should be very fast by even Tesla standards. I see the "at scale" SS body...
  16. 2 Cybertruck Exoskeleton Bodies Arrive at Giga Texas! * UPDATE * Elon Confirmed

Well my Samsung Android phone does software updates at least quarterly if not more. The wife's Iphone seems on a similar schedule although she chooses to ignore them. Must be a settings thing ...
  17. 2 Cybertruck Exoskeleton Bodies Arrive at Giga Texas! * UPDATE * Elon Confirmed

Yep from a hardware perspective, my 2021 Model Y is very different than the current Y's coming out of Texas. Perhaps the essential point is, this is not your grandfathers auto manufacturer. Most people, our Government and Wall Street still do not get it. They expect Tesla to act like a car...
  18. I have a ton of early Cybertruck reservations and want to partner up for a business

The boat is fine. The seas are choppy but no storm lasts very long. That said, stocks are probably a bad idea for risk averse, prone to seasickness types. :-/
  19. I have a ton of early Cybertruck reservations and want to partner up for a business

The Cybertruck is THE most anticipated Tesla product ever. It's successful introduction into a new vehicle segment is a key element in the growth of the car company. I'm confident they will make the right decisions on the CT rollout with the goal of getting it into as many garages (driveways ;))...
