I just thought of something fun. Long ago, I bought a cheap, small Harbor Freight utility trailer. When assembling it, I found that the bolt heads were metric, as you'd expect, but the nuts required SAE drivers. Overall, it was useful, since then I had more options. "Grab me the 15mm and the...
My plan is to start a Montana LLC to own it and another vehicle. That's $10k in saved taxes for just one. I wonder how that affects delivery. I suppose I really need to factor that into the plans now.
Me too. I always hold the nozzle at arm's length, and let it drip dry. I also find that the recycled electrons that Tesla uses are smelly and kind of off color. I don't like it. I'd think for 35 cents a kilowatt, they could give us brand new electrons.
Apparently you haven't seen the super long cables on EV-GO and Blink chargers?
Tesla can do short cables because they set a standard for the charge port location.
Totally agree, and on top of that, a larger trailer would block the space to drive around. It was clearly built with the concept of lower tow ratings for the sedans, not for the CT.
Also, I thought this was a hilarious and smart way to deal with the wait for charging.
I do try to avoid it, but when I do it, I also make a strong effort to avoid peak times.
It's where we have to fuel our vehicles. That's the comparison. Right now, trailer compatibility with SCs is very low.
For my last stop in Buckeye, there was no option at all other than dropping the...
I’ve skipped one to avoid a wait. You don’t get that choice with SCs right now. I just drove 400 miles with a trailer on my M3 today, I had few choices.
I’ve been towing things all my life, tens of thousands of miles. The number of times I’ve had to wait at all can be counted on one hand. The number of times I’ve had to wait more than 10 minutes? None.
I very highly recommend a clear windshield "tint." When I had the car tinted (35% all around with clear windshield), the temp went from 145-ish to "only" 115 with the car set on fan only maintenance. The dash is no longer hot enough to cook lunch however.
