I will admit the performance and capabilities are insane. A 60% increase in the advertised price? I just can't justify it. By the time you add the spare tire, necessary for me, and the range extender the price is closer to 100k for the AWD and you loose a lot of your cargo space.
I am hanging on to mine for now, it will be about a year, most likely less at the new prices. Hopefully something changes and I will be able to afford it. But as it stands I will probably buy another ICE truck.
The poll needs a wait and see vote.
The F-150 lightning gets 2miles/kwh, or 500wh/mile. Cybertruck should be in that range as it is the same size, probably a little better.
500 miles of range at 500wh/mile would require a 250kwh battery pack
Rivian R1T epa reports 480wh/mile at that rate it would need a 240kwh battery pack
From one of the pictures from another thread it displayed the charge rate at 77kw, and that it was getting 75miles per hour which gives an estimated energy consumption of 1027wh/mile both of those displayed values continually update so is independent of the charge curve. The F-150 lightning and...
I poked the numbers and here is what I get.
75 miles per hour at a rate of 77kw gives 1.027kwh/mile double the anticipated, more like it was towing.
16 miles was estimated to take 6% for a total of 16.432kwh
converting to 100% of the battery gives 257kwh total battery pack. Under normal...

Nope I haven't gotten stuck ever.... in my wifes truck.
It looks stuck to me, no big deal normally wouldn't even be news worthy.
Though I do find it humorous.
New Mexico allows dogs to ride in the bed which we do regularly for short trips they even have different friends they will call out to as they approach their homes. On longer trips they tend to ride in the back seat with the seats folded up (F-150) and we put extra stuff in the bed in large...
Uhhh..... well...... its not a very big battery.

I will give Cramer one thing the Cybertruck is ugly, but its functional and I don't care.
