  1. Cybertruck NO RESALE Restriction (1 Year) Spotted in Purchase Agreement Language

I agree. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy a truck here. These are voluntary contract terms. If they are too abhorrent to you, then don't sign and buy another vehicle. One of the many things that I appreciate about Tesla is the standard car price. Yes, they'll go up and down based on...
  2. EV Tax Incentive [closed due to political discussions]

True. Whether it would be unlawful fraud, that I'd have to read more up on. I imagine that the law would prohibit such a practice on Tesla's part, but I'm not 100% sure.
  3. EV Tax Incentive [closed due to political discussions]

Regardless of one's political preferences for such a plan, I'm not sure that such a proposal is set to pass Congress. Part of the problem here is that Dems will only control and absolute bare majority in the Senate, and only then because the VP breaks the tie. With at least one member of the...
  4. Anyone Believe the Cybertruck will do well on Turo?

I would definitely consider it, especially as I would probably be among the only cybertruck owners in Honolulu initially and, thus, could probably command a pretty penny. But I need to do some more research into how the insurance factor works as well as some other things. I won't lie, I'd also...
  5. FSD price increases and effects

The $7k I currently have it reserved for is probably the most that I'd pay, especially as FSD subscription service becomes available.
  6. FSD will get $2k price increase 10/29

Tesla also has to be careful to not make this feature one only for the well off. That said, with the planned $25,000 vehicle, FSD for $10,000 doesn't put such a car too much out of range for many.
  7. FSD will get $2k price increase 10/29

Agreed. But if it really works as intended, it'll be money well spent and make the driving experience so much better and safer. While I had planned to cancel the FSD (and still am not 100% sold on going through with the purchase in general, though I'm not leaning more toward buying since many...
  8. For those who are apposed to the $7,500 rebate.

I'm not opposed to the $7,500 rebate generally. But I am opposed to what I view as calls to game the system to have Tesla get another bite of the apple for the rebate, which I think is a major abuse of the purpose of the rebate system. I kept my CARES check and would do so again.
  9. Update: Cybertruck Full Self Driving (FSD) Option Now Costs $8K

Good point/plan. Note, even then I'm thinking 3-6 years is very optimistic for full fledged authorized use throughout the country, even if the technology is there. I am having a hard time seeing many states authorizing FSD on the road (hope I'm wrong) when most cars won't have the technology...
  10. Update: Cybertruck Full Self Driving (FSD) Option Now Costs $8K

While I agree with you generally, the problem is that whether such an option will be sanctioned for road use will be a state by state approach in the United States. And I see many states greatly hesitant to approve FDS for widespread use until and unless most of the road fleet (Tesla and...
  11. Update: Cybertruck Full Self Driving (FSD) Option Now Costs $8K

Same here. From where I stand, FSD won't be road legal in most places for a LONG time. But I added it just in case there are some features that it provides that I couldn't live without. Will almost certainly be canceling it before delivery.
  12. New Members Welcome Area!

Greetings, all. New member currently living and stationed in the DC area. I plan to return to Hawaii in mid 2022, so am hoping that I'll have my truck then to ship with me. I imagine that I'd be one of the only people in Hawaii with the truck if I get my wish, which can be a good or bad thing.
  13. Transferable FSD?

The only stories that I've read about this have related to Tesla selling secondhand vehicles that it owned and that it has previously (via internal audit) decided to remove FSD prior to the vehicle being sold. However, there had been instances where headquarters didn't communicate these...
