They weren't ever announced during the presentation. You had to go to tesla.com to see those details. What a botched job of an event this was. So much information left out.
I use mine daily on my Model S. I pull it into the garage, so the frunk is always closest to the kitchen door, and I also cannot open up my trunk when the garage door is closed. So the front trunk is used heavily.
This is not completely true. That was in regard to cars like the Model 3.
'Now for the new Tesla Cybertruck, the CEO said on Twitter today that it will actually be an option:'
Get. Your. Facts. Right.
You're kidding right? April fools and all?
That's the rods linking the truck to the sled and rail system that is pulling it down the test track. It's not part of the truck. Also, the bottom covers and skid plates were removed to allow for this hookup, which also allowed us to see the underbody...
Well... I guess we know the travel path of the BAW now. No weird automatic extend-o-feature happening mid swipe to get it to reach the passenger corner of the windshield.
No one is floating the idea/possibility that the open space up there is for the tonneau cover to roll up into? Maybe they engineering challenge of having both a folding midgate AND a rollaway tonneau cover was too complicated...so the cover now hides up into the roof area??
I don't see how Elon can start driving around in a beta/pre-production vehicle without Tesla doing a production release/unveiling event first. I mean I don't want to see the final truck design for the first time just being driven around Boca Chica or something. I'd like to see it on stage with...
Telling ya...that roofline is wrong. the later prototypes had the roofline moved back at least 6 inches to create an overhang, and the glass also extended further back. This image shows the bed top meeting right up with back of the cab like on the original prototype.
This thing looks like a mockup frame for one of the prototypes. It's all unibody..even could be considered traditional truck frame on the back with those frame rails.
I had little time to wait for merket pricing get better (the more I wait, the higher the prices go), so I bought now before they go up another $10k. I wasn't planning on my son going to college early... he's doing a dual-enrollment program so he's still technically in highschool, but taking...
I just picked up a 2014 Model S P85D for now until the CT comes out. Had to get another vehicle because my son is heading to college this fall and needed the Leaf for that. Decided to get a preview of what 0-60 in 2.8 seconds is like before they call me for my CT.
That wasn't directed at you. That was for all the folks complaining about how inconvenient owning and towing with a Cybertruck will be for them if they have to unhook a trailer to charge. Seriously? What? You all think Tesla is going to take 5+ years designing and testing a truck and completly...
