Damn. Let's hope they improve that timeline! I hoped we would solve so many open questions by the delivery center date, including what drivetrain comes first, if you can change your order type, who our nearest extraterrestrial intelligent neighbor is, and cold fusion.
Just so you know, if that had been me, I would have FOUND A WAY to take a picture of the backseat area. Maybe it would have looked like something out of Mission Impossible (ok, more like Teen Wolf), but I'd have me some pictures!
Well, they (Tesla) literally say that it is a “sub 19 ft truck.” Do you believe the author (Tesla) does not know the difference between <20 ft and <19 ft? Is this not clear indication Tesla is saying it will be <19 ft?
I do think “full-size” doors is implied here. Without adding any other...
No kidding! I clicked on your Aptera link (forgot all about that car) hoping it would explain the pic.
Are you driving an Aptera in this picture? (have you driven one?) I am curious about them.
I agree with some of the others this appears to be the Beta model we have been seeing, but with the BAW removed (only the nub showing) and all lifted and lots of bright lights. Thanks, OP.
I also agree it looks like it is about to be photo'd for an upcoming release, which makes one think it may...
I was in the same boat. So I bought a used Model S and kept my "truck" for when I really actually need a truck to tow things. I figured when the CT finally does come out, I'll figure it out then what to do. Best decision ever. I have been mostly driving it for a month now but took an 8 hr round...
I can say I pined away for a Tesla of any kind for years. I finally got tired of waiting for the CT, and was in a position to take the plunge on a P100D Model S (keeping my tow vehicle for boats, etc). I could not be happier. I love (love love) this car, and believe when the CT does finally come...
This is all speculation, but I am answering the OP question directly:
There will be 3 - CT1, CT2, and CT4, not all released at the same time.
CT1 - $49k Released 2024, 250 mi
CT2 - $59k Released late 2023, 350 mi
CT4 - $109k Released 2023, quad steer, 500+mi
I got this from putting my finger in...
Is anyone else getting Ford Lightning emails ramping up? (I am assuming I am not the only one with deposits on both). When I put in my $100 on the Ford (w/in minutes of release) I really wasn't sure which I'd get first. I get the feeling the Ford is coming this year; one email included a link...
Those are all reasons to call it Beta. I would interpret alpha to be the model driven at release and by Jay Leno, which this definitely isn't.
I found this video to be higher res and w/ audio:
I would be willing to bet a lot $$ that a waiver was signed. Another poster indicated it was intended to be photographed and leaked; what a childish way to run PR if so. We'll know more Wed.
I have never been to a Tesla plant, but I have to imagine it is similar to other assembly plants I have...
Great catch! I think you are right. And the lack of a driver display was one of the few things I didn't think I'd get over that easily. If a model 3 had a driver display, it would be so much more appealing to me.
I couldn't agree more. Although here in Alabama the 2 lane speed limit is more like 55, but a Valentine 1 makes it "feel" like 75. I wonder if my bride will buy this argument about "safety" being a valid point to purchasing the C3.
"Honey, I swear, it's actually safer for me to get this...
I think you have it wrong Crissa. The charging point of the M3 is the driver-side rear light, to which that portion of the car is directly in front of the charger for which the car is parked. The cord is not drawn around the back of the car (as it would have been if they attempted to use the...
Absolutely. I have a wakeboard boat, and I look forward to dropping it in the water at the ramp, causing something of a fuss for LA. (that's Lower Alabama).
Similarly, I go inside steel plants, refineries, etc. where they dictate any vehicle inside certain areas of the plant must have the doors unlocked and the "keys in the ignition." If you don't, they can relocate your vehicle in a manner less than pleasing. I am assuming leaving the key fob in...
