Totally agree that sunlight, moisture, and āthe elementsā wreck weatherstripping on most cars. Hopefully Tesla can do some material engineering to reduce/eliminate the effects
Ya, honestly Jay hadnāt been briefed on specs or just forgot. All the convo was about basic stuff like āitās bullet proofā, but nothing cool like the electric and pneumatic power sources, air suspension, etc
One question that occurred to me: itās cool that CT fits in the Boring tunnel, but...
??A tuck away steering wheel makes future FSD value way better. Even parked, tucking the steering wheel away is a benefit, with working in your car between appointments being an emerging trend. Tesla adding video conferencing feature soon will also be great for the truly mobile office concept
New class: TOUGH! Pay for toughest, longest lasting, best built vehicle ever.
Traditional vehicle designs compromise quality/longevity for hitting a price-point. Unfortunately, higher price points have just meant interior luxe and trim, not any true engineering improvements or increased longevity.
Whoās going to use and abuse their Cybertruck with wet dogs and muddy boots ā and whoās going caviar tasting in Cybertruck on their way to the opera?
Every contractor Iāve ever worked with hauls 4x8 ply, OSB, hardibacker with a truck or van. Remodel jobs donāt require tons of materials oftentimes
Letās talk more about unibody design of Cybertruck vs the design of Ridgeline and Avalanche. I believe both of those models are actually body on frame, but would love more input!
Great interview, enjoyed all of it!
Regarding heat pumps and such... I had a three-zone Mitsubishi hyper heat ductless system installed in my home (48,000 BTU unit and KJ18+KJ09s).
They are nice efficient systems, work even when temperatures are well-below 0Ā°F, but the air filtration is...
Good point! I always haul plywood and drywall, but in-laws love their 5th wheel. I just donāt like the two rails on the bed that the 5th wheel attachment adds
Stacking up 4x8s in the bed and actually closing the tailgate...such a happy thought! ? Cybertruck needs to be the ultimate work vehicle. Going big with a 4x8 bed is the way ?
