Eating is always good.
Hopefully I donāt regret this. Thinking about Turo, but then worried what people would do with a monster truck on Turo and whether itās worth risking for the money.
The order theyāve tapped people in seems really weird. My RN was about 20k higher than yours. You arenāt the only one though, theyāve skipped and jumped a bit.
My Tesla account was opened long after I moved to Oregon, so no California ties there.
BUT. I own a Tesla and I donāt think you do...
Canada is the only other country with Cybertrucks on display. They had Cybertrucks in Canada before they had any in Oregon.
I was quite surprised about that, makes me wonder if they are going to start up deliveries there sooner.
Thanks.
Digging around trying to figure out how I can carve out of the cost.
I should qualify for Section 179 which might save me a few thousand in taxes. Digging for more.
ā¦ hows everyone doing?
Kind of a good news/ bad news post.
Bad news. WTF Teslaā¦.. $100k for a F*ing pickup truck? Seriously GTFO.
Iāll let my new friend tell you about the good news.
Iāve listened to them all. Many more than once.
I have not once heard musk say they cannot make an affordable truck.
Musk did not say what you claim he said.
Now Musk is chiming in poking holes in on Lightning pricing. The whole āCybertruck will be priced based on obscenely high Lightning pricingā theory is falling apart entirely.
PS: Musk said this AFTER the 17% price drop.
Tesla is competing but the race isnāt what the media keeps painting it to be.
Tesla is competing against ICE vehicles. When people shop for cars, they are shopping for value. While a fair number of people are willing & able to pay a large premium for an EV, many are cross shopping versus ICE...
I donāt understand why people insist on comparing it to a truck which has massively underperformed its launch sales as if Tesla should follow that model.
Ford had 150k+ orders and was supposed to be filling orders for 2+ years from their preorders. Their price increases have resulted in so many...
There is certainly much truth here. But it wonāt take 150k deliveries to get to chuck in Kansas. There will be a train going to Kansas City within the first 50,000 deliveries, Tesla wants them seen and talked about. Canāt have buzz if you donāt have presence.
Also possible, Cybertruck sells for $1m.
Since weāre tossing out numbers with no basis. $1m has the merit of actually being based on something Musk actually said.
