Technically, all Teslas have FSD installed, just not activated. Since FSD activation is OTA, a temporary license could be issued then terminated upon delivery.
Absolutely, our serious $100 commitment aside, Tesla owes everything to us. I want the final Cybertruck specifications on my desk by 8am tomorrow or I'll ... I'll, well I'll be really unhappy.
It's good to know there are soo many power users of the Google machine. Who needs an edumacation when you can be an instant expert in anything including material science. It's like instant coffee, half the taste for virtually no effort.
Carry on my wayward sons ...
Not surprising considering Tesla's penchant for lean-rapid design. Materials science is a big part of Tesla/Space X. The 304L SS variant seems a good choice for the Cybertruck being as it is plentiful, easier to form and better long term durability. Being the skin of the Starship, it certainly...
Loved hearing from an IT "specialist" and the I write software guy that "There is no incremental cost to software" and you can copy software for free. Wonderful insights from professionals.
I chose least popular poll answer that unfortunately, also happens to be the correct answer in...
Thanks for the interesting alliteration . As I'm sure you know, software is normally licensed for use, not sold and while the replication of each developed software license appears to be zero cost the constant revising, testing, implementation, deployment and support of software presents a...
As someone who was in the software biz, calling software sales as "pure margin" is an old trope. Truth is, the cost of FSD development and support is very expensive and, it will never be "done" ...
That is why Tesla self identifies as a software company perhaps more than as a manufacturing...
I'm pretty sure the model I want (and ordered) will be competitively priced. Give me dual motors, AWD, 300+ mile real range and I'll be a happy camper. Being a member of the monitiarly described US bourgeoisie (I'm a peasant at heart and mind), there'll be no tax credit for me. That class has...
I get what @TomGriff is saying but the Oregon coast while beautiful, is so remote that Oregonians or travellers up that coastline would have issues with EV"s. I live a sheltered life mostly in CA with trips to see the kids in Dana Point and Fresno (ouch). The wife and I range from Monterey Bay...
Despite all the noise, I still believe that the title of this thread is correct and we will see significant Cybertruck production in 2023. I really like the Rivian design and available features and even the Ford Lightning is a nice enough pickup, but I will wait for the crazy looking, hard to...
You heard it here folks. No way the CT will be in full production until 2024-25. I think those hot to trot early reservation holders (say up to 130,000) should chancel those reservations and take that $100 bucks and put it toward ordering a Rivian or Lightning.
You can always come back to...
Whenever it is ready, it will be the best and most unique vehicle Tesla has built. I'm in, and patiently waiting for my next and perhaps last daily driver.
After ordering the CT on Dec 3rd, 2019 I'm like 325K on the list and 85K on the Dual Motor list. Early 2014 seems about right and yes, it is a damn long time to wait but I'm pretty confident it'll be worth it.
I too have a Model Y (3 year Tesla Lease delivered 07/29/2021) to "tide me over"...
