Looks like we can start the clock on the press showing up to Texas. Disassembly, packaging and shipping all need to happen, but we are at least getting closer!
The latest video really makes a good argument for the dual motors first, and one that actually gets me excited to move down to a CT2 from the CT3 I put my $100 on....the tax credit. 70k CT2 + 7k FSD is under the 80k tax credit threshold.
And btw, Brian replies directly to some people's...
my point was, there havent been indications that they are prepping for the CT at Texas yet. i would be shocked that the one, super unique, custom and specific to the CT piece of equipment was already on site. My thought was that the existing press being installed was being confused for the...
what youtube channel did you see that? They have been assembling the Model Y press for some time already...and they just recently ordered the 8000ton press...I would be absolutely stunned if they had it in their possession already....
I could see how what I said was confusing. I agree with you, I don't think that press will ever be in Fremont. It will go straight to Austin from the manufacturer and get dialed in there.
They are not actually building vehicles at Femont and if so only in extremely limited quantities. and not ones that will end up in customers hands. What is happening in Fremont is Tesla getting their manufacturing line set up, doing some tests and programming any software necessary to run the...
i wouldnt base any buying decisions on that spreadsheet, its all just comparative speculation.
I have the older Model S with MCU1 as well and i have over 100k miles on mine and I am not concerned about depreciation at all. Your S is still going to get more range than most* other electric car...
I would guess all CTs will get the new batteries, with the Dual and single motor ones having a smaller pack than the Tri. The new batteries are going to be necessary to give that range with the weight of this vehicle, this is why they said on Battery day the CT and semi would be getting...
Thanks! I was shocked it was that low as well!
Im guessing they arent doing any new videos because that CT is currently 1 of 1.... dont think they want to be going back to repair things that are all custom built at this point. Plus, Tesla doesnt do PR ;)
Welcome to the club! This has been discussed elsewhere on the forums, but the first vehicles produced go to employees whon do a lot of that real world testing. With their other models, there were 'Spottings' of the cars before they were actually being sent to customers. While the employees...
With the rumors of record sales again, this could have just been a way to get any orders from people waiting and hoping the new batteries were ready to be put in vehicles already.
He just means the scale...if the CT andsemi are just starting to be produced in 2021, they could still have new batteries for their limited production runs, then when the lines are running full speed, the battery lines are up to full speed as well.
i
i dont think so, the number tracked on the spreadsheet is minuscule compared to the actual ordered volume. it wouldnt make a noticeable difference. Additionally, it doesnt take into account removed orders, which would be a much larger proportion. For example, on launch night, the website...
There are absolutely companies doing this for appliances, I can 100% confirm it is happening....I work for an appliance manufacturing company and can go down to the production floor below me and witness it. We use a 304 Stainless, so not all too different from the CT. The application of this...
