Tesla sees critical supplier get snatched up by GM

GM depends on supercharger network to sell more EVs. This move makes sense for them.

Tesla is selling superchargers to BP

If TESLA does not fully manage the network and user experience is sucky, TESLA probably would not want their name on it.

    Driving ranges investigation

I thought we discussed this before but I can’t find the thread. General public from ton of online reviews have an understanding that Tesla overstate the range and Porsche understate it. Anyone that spends $60K+ for something without looking into it in advance should take some responsibility...

Tesla is selling superchargers to BP

Gas stations are typically designed for faster flow of customers and many of them don’t have enough land to serve both ICE and many EVs. I have seen some in Canada that have two slower (50 KW) chargers on the side. But for serious service BP will have to select sites that are already large...

Tesla is selling superchargers to BP

How do you guys think the network behind this will work? Will you be able to use your Tesla account to plug and charge or this is yet another membership? https://electrek.co/2023/10/26/tesla-selling-superchargers-bp/?mibextid=Zxz2cZ

    Jailbreak Tesla

I personally don’t care about FSD enough (or at all) to risk Bricking my brand new CT. Backseat passengers may have to bring their own ski suits. Basically even though I don’t consider neither of those deals as Tesla going too far, I find the industry trends very disturbing. If it keeps going...

This is why GM needs ads and Tesla doesn't...

In Asia, Chinese manufacturers have more of a reach than they do in U.S. When Tesla decided to advertise, it did not mean they had inferior product. It only meant they considered, it may cost them less than further price cuts. Besides, not all ads are created equal. You can pay your cousin...

    ICE-ing Superchargers

That will just keep them there longer. It has to be tow and slash or snipers taking out the tires after they leave the spot.

    ICE-ing Superchargers

Or a pissed off Taycan can scoop them up from those spots. We can't start the real ICE war until CT is out in numbers.

    ICE-ing Superchargers

You knew this and let us argue and speculate over why those chargers were ICEed? Now it all makes sense.

    ICE-ing Superchargers

I think part of the problem is the human interface. If the charging station looks like a parking spot, people will park there. If it looks like a gas station, chances are they may connect the dots that although an EV is staying there a long time, it is juicing and not parked.

    ICE-ing Superchargers

I know almost nothing about law and am not sure how legally feasible this is if at all but the distinction that could make a difference is if the chargers are for private use not if it is on private property. I am thinking, the same way the electricians have to abide by some rules when they...

    ICE-ing Superchargers

If the Gobmint fail us on enforcement, we need an App that EV owners can use to upload a Geotagged photo of the offending vehicle with time stamp (including license plate). Repeat offenders will be on a hit list available on the app with a bounty. Let the games begin.

    ICE-ing Superchargers

Joking aside are there anything cooking at state or federal level that can be enforced by police at some point in future? Leaving it to people’s sense of decency can only lead to violence somewhere.

    ICE-ing Superchargers

You definitely want a bullet proof truck if a civil juicing war starts.

    ICE-ing Superchargers

I look forward to a YouTube video of CT hitch put in good use when ICEing is done purely out of rudeness and spite. Not sure if that was the case here.

🚨 Rivian Adopts Tesla NACS Standard!

Are you saying External companies that may not even exist yet with the quality of the product we don’t know about should not have the chance to win us over? If they fail to produce a competitive product and service, I am sure plugshare makes sure they don’t get our business but not having the...

Ford EV will gain access to Tesla Superchargers and come with standard NACS ports starting 2025!

For the manufacturer it may not be the optimal way to build a vehicle but for consumer, downsides and upsides balances out. Most ground up designs have a few years of teething and customer feedback before they get everything right. I think that will be the case for 2nd gen Lightning as well...
