there's not going to be a chemistry change during FS series for sure. if software was the hangup on range they likely would have done that before range certification.
as far as the range extender ETA if have very good reason to believe it won't come this year.

Better depends on what you mean. In a question of absolute bead retainment, the best solution is the hutchison beadlock but it weighs over double what a comparable wheel does.
The CT isnt going to fit down trails that need that level of bead retention
These are all the “bead lock” wheels anyone using a stock cybertruck would ever need. Ive run my wheels at 3 psi in deep snow and 8 psi in rocks dozens and dozens of times without losing a bead. Traditional beadlocks are extremely tedious to install and require a lot of maintenance...
I really dislike the amount of vulnerable stuff they have tucked into the fender flare area.
Wont be a problem for most but the off road crowd will be in for some aggravation
