Product Updates:

Screen Protectors are finally here!! It's been quite the journey for a few reasons, mostly production challenges with a protector of this size in aluminosilicate glass (very few factories can make this size). If you want to know more about the glass and ionic coating, you can read more here. These are hot off the press, I'll be doing the install video in the morning, but suffice to say, it's easy, despite the size!
XPel Armor Protection - we've expanded from the sills to the truck bed surround. Next up, the roof trims (either side of the glass) wheel arches and bumpers (open to suggestions on other applications!)
Ultrabright Lights- added a value bundle in addition to the pick and mix options.
Also new, silhouette door closers and license plate frames.

I only bought a limited number of screen protectors in by air, the rest are coming by sea, so when this batch sells out, it'll be about 4 weeks for full stock.

What is the difference between the matte and the HD clear set? Matte looks like it makes the screen blurry. Why would you want that?

I’m a user of the AO matte protectors from 2020 on two MYLRs.

The matte does not make the screen blurry (I know the examples on the product page give that impression).

It’s still very sharp and easy to read. It’s not QUITE as sharp as stock, but the flip side is so good (no glare, fewer noticeable fingerprints) that the slight reduction in sharpness is worth it to me.

Most people don’t even know there’s a screen protector on our MY’s. They comment on how nice the screen looks, etc.

That makes sense. Thank you for the explanation. I think I will go matte like you. I am constantly wiping my screen to get rid of the fingerprints.

Just the reflection/glare reduction is worth it. Makes the screen so much more useable in harsh daylight.

I’ve been making do with an Amazon matte protector. No comparison to the AO. If anything, the Amazon one makes the fingerprints worse, haha!! I took my wife’s MY for service today and was blown away at how much better the matte AO in her MY looks and resists fingerprints.

A thought: AO has a sample pack of gloss/matte, too. They include a discount code for the full-size protector which just about offsets the cost of the sample.

@jf64k answered it well. Once I've got the install video cut, I'll show the difference in that too....aside from everything mentioned above, if you're over 40, the matte is almost a no-brainer, as you probably don't have 20/20 vision anymore. If you're lucky enough to still have 20/20, then it's a choice between pin-sharp clarity, but with some reflections and more obvious fingerprints, or the matte/satin, which does a fantastic job of masking prints and diluting glare, albeit with a softer image. The reality is after a couple of days you won't even give it any thought. 60%+ of sales in the last decade have leaned matte.

Ha. Still working on the final cut. Have to re-do the rear screen as the b-roll camera crashed, which also meant I lost audio...sooo annoying. Off to brunch now, then will re-record that bit and get it finished up.

Installation

Todays project is XPel Armor for the wheel flares. Front ones done, mostly. The gap between the two pics below is about 7hrs, takes a lot of back and forth to get the cut just right.
