Does anyone know when they will start the 2025 model deliveries? Will they wait until 2025?

They'll just change the date at some point in time. Tesla doesn't make any changes for model years. I think that I've seen that they have already changed the years on at least some of the cars.

Model Year is a nothing event for Tesla.

What’s the interest in a ‘25 model year? If other Teslas are an indication, there will be little to no changes.

Don’t think CT will see a refresh or any changes whatsoever for a very long time - other than becoming less expensive and having an even better build quality in the coming years.

People continue to fail to understand that Tesla is NOT a normal vehicle mfg! Year means little in context.

It’s simply their obsession with “new” or “latest”.

the reason I was curious is because typically with any car the new model year will hold its value better than one that is older. I have a 22 Plaid I paid $148500 for which was window sticker in December 21. Musk dropped the price to be only 109,000 fopr the same car now. So any benefit is worth something.

2025 will deliver when they're out of 2024. Or when they get to 2025, they'll call the 2024s they make 2025s.

Sure- I am waiting for a 2025 just because in a few years, when I go yo sell it, it might be worth a little more if the VIN SAYS it’s a 2025!

yes, it seems strange that no one can figure that part out but you. I got my 22 delivered in 21 so I was hoping that we’re gonna start the 2025 models. I’ve got a reservation. I can activate it anytime but I’m gonna wait as well and make sure I get a 25 not a 24. Hopefully they won’t drop the price like they did on my plaid. I went from 148 five all the way to 109 in a matter of a couple years.

I think potential buyers want to wait for a 2025 since it's so late in the year.
A number of expenses like taxes and insurance are higher for newer model years, every year that you pay them. ;)

I’m sure Tesla leadership understands how the lack of a $7500 tax credit is negatively impacting Cybertruck sales.

I am guessing they are working as fast as possible to eliminate Chinese sourced components from their 4680 battery cell in order for the truck to qualify.

There aren't enough domestic/trading partner country battery minerals available on the open market to achieve this. Tesla isn't dumb enough to try to solve a problem that can't be solved.

Plus, the qualifying minerals are wortrh more when used in a 75 kWh battery than in one almost twice as big. Because the same minerals can qualify for almost $15K worth of tax credits in nearly two vehicles rather than one $7500 credit in one Cybertruck. Simple math indicates Tesla is not going to move mountains to get those minerals in a Cybertruck. It would make no sense.
