Having cross shopped the Rivian R1S (1.5-2.0 mi/kwh) and Hummer EV SUV (1-1.5 mi/kwh) I was hoping my AWD Cybertruck would be able to achieve superior efficiency. Oh, and it has! My hope of 2-2.5 mi/kwh has been blown away. An insane 3.0 mi/kwh! Almost identical to my former Model S Plaid on 21's that averaged 321 Wh/mi over 7,500+ miles.

Oh, and it's been 90+ degrees every day for most of this first month with the truck as we suffer through an interminable heat wave in the Northeast. I should note that the efficiency seems to be regularly improving. 80-90% of my driving has been on sport mode. Only tested chill and custom.

Tesla Cybertruck 30 Days with AWD, 864 miles driven, insane 3+ mi/kwh average efficiency. effic - 1

The unit was reversed from what I typically see, so I thought this was going to be a troll post haha 😁

LOL, no trolling. Just enjoying the quiet, spacious, smooth-riding, efficient work of engineering magnificence. How this kind of efficiency isn't a lead story somewhere/everywhere is baffling. But I guess trolls be trollin' and click-baiting.

I wonder what I am doing "wrong" / differently. I am in the low 400's. I have been driving only in chill and mostly low. I don't accelerate obnoxiously (other than a few times for "testing"). But my normal work commute driving with normal traffic I am still in the 430ish range.

What is the typical speed of your commute?

Guessing this. I'd estimate ~20% of my miles thus far have been typical highway speeds of 65-75mph. If you're running 80mph then low 400's is pretty solid.

Also not sure if you've installed the glass roof sunshade, but it significantly reduces the heat load in the cabin. If I'm going to be parked in the sun I'll also vent the windows to keep it from getting too hot inside.

SICK! My consumption has gone up as it's become unreasonably hot here in Zimbabwe(Arizona)

But still, 374wh/mi over 7k miles!

LOL, for me it is the same thing I have always done "wrong" with my 2013 P85. I'm only surprised it hasn't been worse. 😁

Day 27 and I have 1633 miles (1280 miles logged on TeslaFi). Most of my driving is done on backroads and around town. I do not have a lot of highway miles (day 19 with newborn).
