Got my FS last March, broke down as soon as I left the service center. Low voltage errors, critical steering, etc. had it towed, power conversion system replaced.

All good until 3 weeks ago, 5800 miles later, while on vacation, same issue again, low voltage issue detected, critical steering, unable to drive, etc etc. totally ruined my vacation, had car towed to service center 3.5 hours from my house. Had to rent a truck because I had my dirtbike with me. Such a nightmare.

Service center had the truck for 2 weeks. Did all the recall work, (sail appliqué, wiper motor, etc) replaced front and rear drive inverters. Said that is what the issue was. (Wiper is also now 2” to the right where it used to be hidden on left when parked btw, but different story)

I uber all the way there from home to pick the truck up. Got it, head home, I make it 2 hours, I stop to pick something up, return to car. Issue is back, same errors again, towed again!

I’m getting sick of this, I’m looking into lemon law as I’m really losing confidence in being able to take this truck off road anywhere remote, it’s really ruined my trust.

Anyone has similar problems? It seems weird that I’d need another pcs replacement. But no idea.

It’s the 3rd breakdown, and waiting for word from service center.

Exiting and re entering multiple times didn’t fix it. Nor did restart.

What’s frustrating is I want to keep the truck I just want it to work and be reliable, seems others don’t have these issues, so I’m starting to think it’s just mine? Makes no sense why Tesla can’t seem to fix it

It happens. Had my duramax for 10 years and can’t say enough good things my buddy got one and nothing but problems and yep lemon law kicked in and they took it back. Doesn’t mean it’s everyone but there are definitely lemons. 🍋 in the bunch for all car company’s. I would try to get that one taken back and get a new one if you’re not soured by the entire thing

This guy was in a similar situation and Tesla bought it back. Sounds like he is still open to rebuying one in the future.
He sold it back to tesla and bought a non foundation series. Everything is working fine now. It was the truck.

Sorry to hear this - not good enough. CA has pretty strong consumer protection law. I think the buy back option sounds reasonable.

We got our first beast in march and second beast in April.

March delivery was VIN 3xx

April VIN is 4xxx

After the third or fourth critical steering error on the first beast my service manager sent an email to corporate requesting a buy back. I received approval in under a week and a refund within 3 weeks. I purchased another FS Beast VIN 16xxx.

All bought cash so no need to deal with bank leans etc.

Absolutely flawless so far 🤞
